I've also read all of the manual, but not managed to work out how to change the applications on the quick menu at the top. I want to change it to camera, text message in-box etc, not orb, skype etc as the default is. I know you can do this.
Click the left 'planet' symbol, then Tools, then Settings, then General, then Personalisation, then Stand By mode, then Active Standby AppsMFW #185

I have an N95 8Gig and it is black.
If there is a memory slot on your phone then you have the wrong one.
It is relatively easy to change the functions of the various buttons on the front, and if you are using your home Wi-fi then you shouldn't incur any extra charges0 -
oh bum - mine's purple-ish and it doesn't have the settings option, just settings wizard which is for setting up email. Thanks Eagerlearner. I'll be getting onto three then when I leave work - that's so irritating, maybe why I've had so much difficulty getting music onto it. Will update you.0

Basically the difference between n95 and N95 8GB are this (having had both I can make a fair assessment):
N95 8GB - screen 0.2" bigger, 128MB RAM (i.e. faster, better web browsing, less 'out of memory' errors), no MicroSD slot.
However the 8GB internal memory does not slow it down, its basically like Nokia have glued an 8GB memory card into the slot.
But it is definitley one of the most fully used phones I have had so far! I downloaded over 4GB via HSDPA on it, and much more over wi-fi, used it to watch movies, browse internet, take photos, used GPS.
It really is the ultimate gadget. But remember this is not for the average Joe. If you are not technically minded don't bother. I know it's a harsh comment but it's true.
But I love mine!0 -
Nokia N95 is now available on Three for £20 a month, prompting me to take out a contract. No messing with cashback, but it's an 18 monther for 300 mins/texts.
https://www.three.co.uk is where it is, official site.
But maximise the deal by getting Cashback from your favouriteo cashback site (I opted for £32.50 from Quidco.
But another unexpected bonus. Cancel (IE close your browser halfway through the process) and you will get an email giving you a free £20 accessories voucher from the 3 shop (free postage on everything via email about 20 minutes later. Or go on live help and ask a question (I asked about Porting) and they give you a voucher tooWycombe Till I Die0 -

I'm just about to order one online now via quidco !! I thought i'd just have a quick look at this site first for any further discount codes and have come accross this thread.I've been eyeing up this phone for months now but any feed back I've read about it before now has NOT been that good.I'm purely interested in it 'cos of the size of the buttons and the screen and the 5 mega pixel camera with built in flash !!(my teenage kids think I'm really 'sad')All other features will be wasted on me.As far as the price is concerned, I'm buying it at £20 a month on the 300 min/text tarriff which suits my humble needs and is the best price i've ever seen it.As adam2484 points out, it's probably cheaper now cos the n96 is due out soon.
Did you find out better offers/codes/discounts, or have you bought it mrsbudget ?0
