help please with dialling code to america for mobiles
my brother has gone to kansas america and has bought a cell phone over there.he has just rang me on his mobile,he had tried to ring our mum but she was engaged so she tried to ring him back but cant get through its saying number not reconised
do i need a dialling code and then press his mobile number?
if so any ideas on where to find it?

Try prefixing his number (which should have 10 digits) with 001.No reliance should be placed on the above.0

the number i got off 1471 started with0140 then it has a 8 digit number.

As for the number, perhaps it is 00140xxxxxxxx0 -
You might also want to check your call barring settings. Sometimes companies leave it set to no international, no premium rate calls by default. This helps to stop you accidentally making stupidly expensive calls, but if you don't know it is enabled it stops you making certain calls for no apparent reason.
