mason, you'll definitely get the answers you want on the Slimming World Support thread
If anyone wants a chocolate-related chuckle, have a look here . It's slightly naughty, but could well put you off some popular choc bars, so it's LW
Thanks for mentioning that erlqueen (Uncle Bens) - I said way back that I'd only checked three, would be a nightmare if they were the three lowest lol.0 -
I can't decide if someone had way too much time on their hands - oh, wait, yes I can and yes they did^^0

morning everyone, another glorious day.
welcome all the newbies, i wont name you all as ill miss people out then.
im busy trying to convince myself i can quit smoking (again) and today is a good day to not go and buy that pack of 10.
which may be going to lead to me venturing out to the gym gym before aqua aerobics. that could be a good thing that actually, if i get my rear in gear and get moving.0 -
Good luck with it purpycat!
Erl, don't be shooting the messenger now... I didn't make 'em.
Sorry Pet, missed this earlier:...As I don't have a google a/c, I can't get to your link either ajax. Did you all just choose a team or did you dish one out? Is there a £500 prize?
......there was a random number generator which assigned the numbers to the teams. There's a prize worth potentially far more than £500 - it's a Lotto Lucky Dip!
Today's games:
Spain (victory) vs Russia (Bright-idea)
Greece (julesgr) vs Sweden (vixarooni)0 -
Hey all! Lovely day again, my new fitness togs are here so I'm hoping to have another go at the 5k run before lunch
This time I have the distinct advantage of knowing I'm actually doing 5k, instead of 7k :rotfl:
Scales are telling a whole different story this morning - 3lb gain that arrived over the weekend virtually all gone in just a dayWhat on earth is happening with my body! I'm still having a 'boot camp' (© Victory) week this week though.
Hiya Suggs, that's a pain about the window being such a massive job. Good exercise though I'm sure! I like 3/4 shorts on a man btw
Welcome to the thread Kenny! Thanks for posting your intro and congrats on the weight loss so far. You have worked out your BMR which is great - but remember the x1.2 is for a sedentary person. You are at least lightly to moderately active so the multiplication factor will be higher (x1.375 or x1.55) to get your daily maintain count- then obviously reduce this by a sensible number so you can lose weight. Did you read this bit:
As a guide to minimum calorie intake, the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM) recommends that calorie levels never drop below 1200 calories per day for women or 1800 calories per day for men. Even these calorie levels are quite low.Raph - fab loss there! Having seen your pics I also simply can't believe you're in the 'obese' categoryYou don't even look overweight! Marion - ditto - wonderful loss, something does seem to have clicked the past few weeks which is GREAT! Keep it going! Erlqueen too... wow lots of big losses this week already!
Hello BB, ooh a relatively empty pool to swim in is such a treat! Sounds like you had a good one yesterday! Yeh, the milky bar has a lot to answer for so I'm not letting him or any of his pals in the house for a while!!!By the way, is the butterscotch Angel Delight a result of the butterscotch tart school dinner talk from a few weeks ago?! I've been making up Supreme Dessert (same as Angel Delight) and freezing it into lolly moulds lately - absolutely delicious, and cheap
One pack makes four lollies of 90 calories each. They are a bit like mini milks, but bigger
Hi Nicky, no experience of Atkins myself but I hope you can find some support and good luck!
Vix, it was great to hear about your weekend. Have your ears recovered yet?! Can tell you're in a relationship.... the thought of bumping into hunks at the swimming pool wouldn't worry me :rotfl:
Hey Delly - ouch about the fee increase  I hope you can manage a holiday, let us know the minute you've booked something!0 -

ajax,
I didn't know you were a fellow veggie! Please let me know if you have any good quick and easy recipes!

Morning all, well done Marion, you're doing fab.
Glad to see my forward roll sparked some very funny posts, I have laughed out loud so much in the last couple of days while catching up with the thread.
Been to the gym yesterday and today, taking it pretty easy to begin with as I haven't been for ages but trying to get there every day this week and next just to get in the habit as I need to be enjoying it by the summer hols so that I do exercise at home (can't get to gym while kids at home).
Good luck to everyone for this weeks weigh-ins and well done to everyone who has already posted their losses.
Hi to all the newbies, good luck with your dieting, healthy eating etc0 -
HI AGAIN.
thanks to all that have offered advice.
CONGRATS! to all the losers, i know its a great feeling!
can i just ask.
how many calories should i be eating a day? (im eating roughly 1200)
im really scared that if i start to eat more calories and dont (or cant!) increase my exercise ill start to put the weight back on,
i cant increase my exercise yet as what im doing is tough but manageble, so i dont want to up it before im ready.
any help appreciated.

...........kenny, going on what you've already posted, I'd say a minimum 1750, but I don't reckon 2250 would do you any harm if you're exercising.0 -
seems alot...........
ive got to admit though i dont feel hungry on what im currently on. so surely thats not a bad sign?
well all i can do is take pics, weight reading, and try 1750 for 2 or 3 weeks and see how it goes.
ill report weekly progress as i go?
if it doesnt work i can always come back and curse the lot of you :-D lolololololol0
