I tried to download a mag with their rubbish "delivery" system.
After signing up and selecting PCPRO it did not download when I tried
to download again it tells me I have used my free download. WHAT
A LOAD OF CRAP!! I looked at Q&A and it says only OS 2000 & XP.
I have VISTA. WHSmith come into the 21st centuary!!0 -
Just tried again ... nope, still no Marie Claire. Mind you, I haven't had a second email either!
Don't s'pose they've got problems with specific titles? Which is why it works for some of us and not others?:heartpuls Mrs Marleyboy :heartpuls

Mine came through eventually, but the second email took about 2 hours and then I could log in, and then ordered the free mag and that took another 2 hours.0

I've not been able to fully download the software.I moved here from Zimbabwe (Rhodesia) in 1980. I went to Borrowdale Primary School.0

I've just spent several hours downloading my chosen mag. and the "Total Film" mag (my ISP seems to have deliberately slowed my usual 5.5 MB/sec connection to kilobytes/sec) and now the "Delivery" software is re-downloading them. Idiotic.
Does anyone know where the default location of the 'magazine' files is?0 -
By the time I get the mag I could have got in my car, drove to local tesco bought it, drove home.
Then read it !!!0 -
As well as the magazine offers thread on here, there are links to lots of '3 for £1 with no commitment ' and similar offers on http://www.besthighstreet.com/magazines.html.
Thankfully, no such problems with the written word and at 33p a copy (some less) the trial magazine offers listed on beshighstreet suit me better. Pity they are not listed in some sort of order though, there are quite a few to go through!0 -
Eventually got it. It's not bad. The file that it stores is actually a PDF (with some extra custom headers so Adobe Reader etc don't recognise it until you remove them with a hex editor) but it's encrypted with no obvious plain-text password lying around anywhere so don't go hoping to do dodgy things with it
Image quality isn't great. T3 isn't quite the same when you can't admire the curves of gadgetry at the same quality level. But it's not bad if you're too lazy to go to the shop (which would actually be quicker haha), and certainly can't grumble at the freebie.0 -
Took a while to download - but got there. Easy to install and hasn't mucked up my computer. Great freebie - many thanks...not everyone lives next to a newsagent you know!!!!:rotfl:
