ekimnas, try the password that you used when registering with WHS. My email took a couple of hours to come thru. The software wouldn't take my password immediately, but it did take it about an hour later (ie before the confirmation email).

Wish I could just nip down the shop and buy hard copy, but I'd have to get the car out and drive 30 minutes to get to the shop! Cost of magazine plus cost of fuel ...

Patience is the key on this one. I was able to log-in shortly before I got the second email but my free magazine did not arrive until some time after the second email.

I can report it has now worked for me and I haven't been asked for any c/c details. :)

Sorry to be a killjoy, but it doesn't work !!! Software downloads but can't use because you are supposed to use a password that is sent by email....mine never arrived rendering the software useless! There is a link to a help file that doesn't work and W H Smith do not answer their emails so all in all a complete waste of a few hours would have been easier to go and buy the magazine and then, at least, I would be able to see it !!!

Mine didnt work straight away but a couple of hours later and its downloaded waiting to be read. It's not cost me anything so hang in there and yours should be working soon.

Bloody hard work?! You sign up, download the software, try to use it, fail, try to use the web client, fail, do a search on here, find that you have to wait, wait a couple of hours, finally the email comes through telling you the password that you already knew, then you sign in and wade around that "Immanens" site, then you realise you have to go back to the WHSmith site and sign in from there, then you FINALLY get offered the free mag and think Yay, it's time!.... and then it fails to appear! And then you wait.... and wait.... and wait..... and wait....

Can't grumble for free I suppose, but I can't see myself paying for that shambles of a service.

If you can get the software to work it looks like you can get a free copy of *every* magazine. When you subscribe you get the first issue free but the subscription has no obligation to buy any more copies. So subscribe, download, cancel, and repeat for every title...

No second email yet, but the Delivery Manager now seems to be downloading - I hope that this is the sample magazine, coz I definitely clicked on Marie Claire but it seems to be downloading something called Total Film ???

haha that's my favourite mag!! hence i've applied to download it, though delivery manager won't let me log in...

Blah...the delivery software isn't compatible with Macs.

I guess I'll never be purchasing an online magazine from WH Smith's then! :p
