:oMorning lovely ladies, its beautiful here. Just going to go and pick LO up and sit in my parents garden. Its such a suntrap, i'm very jealous of all your gardens! Just need to jump in the bath before i head off.
Well i've accepted Heriot Watts offer of a uni place. Edinburgh actually phoned me and i had a chat with the admissions officer and she was really positive so i think they would have offered me a place too. However looking at the entry dates, the Edinburgh intake is much earlier than Heriot Watts and LO wouldnt have started school full time so i would have had to miss the first 2 weeks of lectures! I think that is frowned upon:o Plus i spoke to some of my friends at work, 2 are at HW and love it, the class sizes are small and you get to know your lecturers really well. Another girl was at Edinburgh doing the same course i applied for and hated it, partly because the lectures are 200+ So i've done it, no going back:D
Pink Fairy, hope everything works out ok, it never rains but it pours!!
Hope you all have a lovely sunday. :beer:The trouble with the world is that the stupid are cocksure and the intelligent are full of doubt.Bertrand Russell0 -

Why is it when I don't copy and paste my posts they get lost in cyberspace??!! Argh!!
Hippy well done, hope you aren't hurting too much today.
AnWsMum thanks, but, I find it all so confusing. Our water heater is gas/electric/both. It does have a switch inside the caravan which it says to use to switch it on, so I pressumed if we didn't switch it on it wouldn't switch itself on? Same goes for the internal water pump I think. We're bringing it here Friday before we set off to York anyway, see if we can suss out that and the fridge. I doubt we'll need the heating but will have a go at that too. I want to get the fridge cooled before we go as I don't really want to have to go shopping on our first outing, it's going to be manic enough as it is. Oh then there is the awning which scares me lots. We are going with DPs friend this time who knows his caravan stuff so if in doubt I will be shouting for him, when DP asked what the hammer was for I got I said the awning pegs and to hit James with if he laughs when we get stuck!
g&b sounds like you have made a good choice! The uni my partner dropped out of sometimes had over 100 students per lecture. He hated it.
embb have a great time at Beamish, we had annual passes a couple of years ago, I think it was only £5 more and can go as much as you like, mean't we could just pop there for a nice picnic etc
Right Mam is coming over for the throw, need to find a suitable colour cotton for her to use when she splits it in half. No doubt she'll want feeding :rotfl:

Just a quickie while to say good morning to you all, and then going to throw a bucket of cold water over hubby to wake him up. I need my mixer back to day so I can make some cookies for the kids. I'm using thriftyladys recipe from her wartime thread so will let you all know how they turn out! Her recipe uses carrots so am doing them and am making some apple ones as well.
Think my internet may just go on the blink later, everything's gone wonky looking lol.

Morning all
Lovely day here. One load of clothes nearly dry, living room curtains on the line and bedroom curtains going round in the machine. I don't wash curtains as often as I probably should but I hate getting them down and putting them back up (so I made DH do it) and they will have to be ironed, which is another thing I don't really do! Never mind, I hope it will be worth it. Windows have been cleaned inside too and finally our window cleaner is due to start back next week. They've been MIA for about 7 or 8 months but someone knocked last night to see if we still wanted them. We've been doing what we can reach but they really need a proper clean.

Kids are away this morning and i have the sunday school thing to go to tonight. Dinner in the oven and i'm starving already.
Plan today is get uniforms washed along with the other piles, sort DD's room and find their clothes for sports day on wednesday, if i don't do it today i'll forget. The rest of the day will be doing bits in each room.
Hippy well done and hope your legs aren't to sore today.

Doing well today but not things on my list.
Hoovered out car
Put all the stuff for school fete and scrap store in the car to take tomorrow
Tidied and hoovered out the garage (it has old carpet in to keep it warm as it is attached to the kitchen) so the kids could play darts
Also pulled out the gate leg table in the living room so DS3 could play table tennis so I will hoover and wipe in that corner before it goes back tonight.
Another lot of washing is ready to go out.
It is hot here, just put suncream on to hoover the car.The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0 -
