It doesn't matter if some organisation does take pity on HBOS and buy them out, you won't get £5 or the £11 or £12 per share they were not so long ago. HBOS still pongs real bad.
Mr Downey if you think you have a special ability to stock-pick them put your money where your mouth is and retire at 30 to Monaco. Perhaps you knew the price would rise 17% today and already have.
But don't just fantasise about your abilities on message boards like a poor man's Prince Monolulu.
If you're interested in share prices you can get minute by minute updates with useful graphs on many sites including http://finance.google.co.uk/finance?q=LON:HBOS
There'll be lots of bid rumours sending bank stocks up and down for a while yet.0 -
Ok lets have this sorted is it, agent orange expects an apology from different people just because the share price went up for day...nothing to do with a rumour bid for HBOS was it DOH..:rotfl::rotfl:
Earlgrey find the need to take personal digs at people JUST BECAUSE THEY HAVE AN OPINION.;)
M Thomson referred to me as being sad and bitter just because he/she doesn't like some posts
jamesd has some silly notion that i'm harrassing HBOS just because i post their share prices, perhaps he should really consider reading all the posts and he will find that i put ALL share prices up and down and add a clip accordingly
So on these terms and these terms only i will now continue to post the share prices, i'm sure agent orange will now make a sarcastic remark about me not posting yesterday but if she too had read the post the day before she would have noted that i said i wasn't going to post due to personal views being made against myself and apparently iv'e been upsetting people.(it's just a shame that some people then go on to make personal remarks about others on here)
Sorry agent orange as much as i would have liked to predict how the shares were going to go yesterday i'm afraid to say my b_ lls are made of gristle and not crystal;)
Share price today 300.50

What about the hbos board who en masse bought shares when they were £4 or £5. It just shows their incompetence and level of judgement. They must be as sick as parrots.0

I'm not stating the share price will not go down again or whether it rose due to speculation. The fact is, if people had paid for their rights entitlement, they could now sell those rights issued shares for a profit. Those who said this is a basket case may or may not be right, but they have been proved wrong on the rights issue, simple as that.0

In essence you're saying people should be trading HBOS shares. Buy low and sell High. You've no idea that the share price would go above the rights issue price. It could go below the rights issue price next week and stay below it. Lets face it it's been below the rights issue price the vast majority of the time. so you wouldn't be bleating then.
banderman, disregard that thanks, I hit the wrong button.
I'm not suggesting anyone should trade hbos shares. I'm saying if someone,
against your advice, had elected to take up their rights offer, they could have
sold today at a profit. You can't argue against that I'm afraid.:rotfl:0 -
And 3 days ago they would have sold at a loss. So what's your point? Share prices are volatile. You seem to be suggesting that you should buy shares, wait for them to rise in value as they always do, and then sell for a profit. Oh dear, a daytrader in disguise. Anyone following your advice would end up in the poorhouse.0
