Nice 5.2% tick up this morning (13p).

10.8% rise (28p) increase this morning.

Hats off to the underwriters of the rights issue, shorted the shares down to below the offer price - stuck with millions of shares - now comes the sting. They've played a blinder.
As ever, majority of small share holders conned by the big boys

Maybe I could take the liberty of answering for him...

1) Like I said before, the slow collapse of one of the world's biggest banks is major news, and worth discussing.

2) It's usually twice a day, but I do agree that even that is a little excessive - once a day would be fine. It is useful to have it on this thread though, rather than hunting for the share price myself, and it's easy to look back and see how the shares have been performing over time

3) Hey, we're all wasting time on MSE, we should all be working!

4) This is still a major news story at the moment, so I think it's still worth talking about.

I think the thread would become unwieldy in that situation. Plus, there are many financial websites that actually show up-to-date information.

They bounced today to about 290 on a bid rumour, sliding back a little now though.
The news that mortage approvals are down 20% + on last month cannot have helped.
Down 67% on the year, that seems like a very big drop to me, down to 1/3 of 'normal'
activity.

It's a bit like watching of those buy a house and become a millionare programs where
they are consantly saying how much prices have gone up in the area, get used to
it, it's the new form of light enertainment.
Maybe he is hoping to have his own TV show on the share price, with celebrity stockbrokers
on as guests :rotfl:
