Not necessarily. A Tesco's near me was done by their local EHO for dodgy practises.
Just because a shop is large and well-known doesn't mean their hygiene standards are up to scratch.
Isolated complaints can be ignore but if we ALL complain about shoddy service and poor quality then the fatcat supermarkets will have to do something.
It is only by acquiescing and being British that standards will continue to fall.
Complain if youre not happy and compliment them when you are.Keep trying.........................what else is there to do?

Exactly what are you after?
Half the time people say "an explanation" but no-ones really going to know what happend. You'll probably end up getting some standard responce saying this has been checked, that has been checked etc.
In reality it was probably a one off event.
So seeing they won't really know how it happend, you'll at best even if you push this get a made up letter to keep you happy, what do you actually want?
If it was me I'd want an explanation!0 -

Surely the point of blue plasters is so you notice if it lands in the food? Sounds like someone just wasn't paying as much attention as they should, and in a monotonous job like that...0

Yup, according to food hygiene advice that's exactly why. I don't think it's unreasonable to return the buns and get a replacement - it gives the store chance to follow it up or not!
Hopefully as it's been a few days the finger will have healed so no danger of more plasters(Watch out for the scab:D)
