I love this. I'm going to:
- try to succeed with the June Challenge
- take lunch to work 4 days a week
- e-bay like mad to get rid of all my junk
- shop on-line so I can curb my food budget0 -
* Get bets on as many Euro 2008 games as possible
* Raise £250 towards debt payments
* Sell the car!!!!
* Sort out my clothes into wearable / storage / get rid pilesNo longer using this account for new posts from 20130 -
Thanks Hypno for starting a June Thread
Went looking for a June one earlier to keep me on track!
Mostly about the same as last month for me but having it down in black and white is great!
In June I WILL:
* Make £364.70 in the £10 a day challenge to make up for not reaching the May Target
* Accept any overtime offered (rarely happens but might over the next few weeks, fingers crossed)
* Take £10 out on a Thursday to last me the week (spends for myself)
* Have at least 3 NSD's over the week.
* Spend only £10 a week on fuel
* Play about with the cc's to transfer as much of balance as possible so I'm not paying as much interest - means more off the debt!
* Pay at least £500 to my Credit Card
Going to print that out and stick it beside my computer to keep me going! The debtWILLbegone - taking it 1% at a time

-Go on exercise bike / cross trainer at least 4 times per week.
-Put the rest of the money in the ISA.
-Start that diet properly (while I'm typing this I'm eating pizza!!!!!).
-Keep taking lunches / snacks from home into work (saving a fortune!).2022 wins include.... £1,000 cheque £150 ASDA gift card £250 Impericon gift voucher £100 cheque £100 of plant bulbs £100 Bower Collective voucher0 -

Brilliant thread Hypno
In June I am going to start a new life !! I have separated from my husband (whom I still get on well with) because he is a severe addict of gambling and drink and is/was really violent when he lost money / drank.
I have a beautiful new flat.
So I am going to enjoy my life now without fear.
God - this all seems so dramatic but is so achievable now............
But the basic things I am going to do are
Walk to the beach (500mtrs away) and then run a mile along the prom and back three times a week
Stick to my new budget.
Try to lose 12lb before going on holiday at the end of the month
Take packed lunch to work 4 times a week (why do most of us say that ? and not 5 days ????)0 -
-Walk the dog more - we both need it!
-Make at LEAST £10 a day on ebay from the "great post wedding declutter" by the end of the month.
-Take lunch to work at least 2 days a week (I'm on customer site 2 days a week and taking lunch for a 170 odd mile journey just doesn't appeal).
-Put together the wedding albums and order them.
-Get hubby to put up frames in the bathroom with black/white wedding pics and 3D frames.DFW Nerd #025DFW no more! Officially debt free 2017 - now joining the MFW's!
My DFW Diary - blah- mildly funny stuff about my journey0 -
great thread.
i am going to shop local, and walk there. I have to carry the shopping back then so i carry not buy too much.
Plant the bedding plant I bought reduced a few weeks ago which i have revived.
Moved my 0% card to cover my overdraft until november saving me £16..interest per month.
Organise myself to have drinks for the kids in water bottles when i pick them up so i do not buy them icecreams on their walk home from school.0 -
I am going to really get off my backside and challenge myself to do something different everyday.
Oh and shamelessly borrow everyones ideas.
Thanks in advance.

Still lurking around with a hope of some salvation:cool:0 -
Excellent idea! I need goals or I tend to flounder a bit. I want to:
-use the car only a few times during the month and walk more
-make an effort to find inexpensive or free activities to take DS to
-save enough money in grocery budget to pay for family bbq in JulyMSE mum of DS(7), and DS(4) (and 2 adult DCs as well!)DFW Long haul supporters No 210:snow_grin Christmas 2013 is coming soon!!! :xmastree:0
