    .....

    - Use more vouchers to get money off things I buy
    - Save as much as possible during the next few months
    - Declutter the flat, way too much stuff
Smile more often, it's FREE :hello: Live on £4000 for a year stalker! :p
  • Woohoo!
I love a bit of motivation! Thanks Hypno...

For me the list reads a little like this:
Lunches to work 5 days out of 5 a week
Pay off £400 extra from the credit card
Be fabulous success at prom where I'm the photographer, might lead to more opportunities, getting paid too! woowoo
Make more decent meals for dinner for me and OH... increase intake of freshly cooked food, and veggies.
Get on top of some sort of cleaning rota for the flat!

I think thats about it for me..... dont want to overload the brain!

    Hi,

    Great thread!

My goals for June would be -

Definitely make lunches 5 days a week normal costs me at least £2.50 a day!
Try and keep up with the ironing as it is always a Mount Everest pile in the corner of the Living Room at least 1.5m high!
Wash my car every week - it has now been 3mths since I last washed it! Never have anytime!! Also, put windscreen washer in so I can actually clean the windscreen!! (It has only been a week since that has run out!)
Get my motorbike on the road still in bits in the garage. Save loads in petrol !!
Grow veg - prepped the soil just need to get growing!!

Loads more aims but will have to wait till July for those

P.S Snaggles if you need any help with Photoshop - I know it well, work with that programme all the time!!

    That tickled me no end....
The hubby came in with a cup of tea, saw that, gave me the tea and went to make himself another one :T

Klane, you scored me a free no effort needed cup of tea - Thanks!

    Hello my lovelies!

I completely missed the May versh of this (might go and look it up in a sec) but off the top of my head:

    1) Stick my head in the Loft and see if what I think is still up there corresponds with reality. (I believe there to be one box of Photo Albums, one box of Christmas Decs, and two Christmas Trees - but due to a Hoarding Hubby it's all too possible that there's a few other bits up there. When asked about this issue he tends to be a little vague - safe in the knowledge that my asthmatic's fear of loft insulation will prevent me from actually having a look - Bless him. But this month I'm going up there.. )

    2) Ebay most of the contents of my wardrobe, leaving only the stuff that fits and that I actually wear, which should leave plenty of swishing things from side to side room in there. ;)

    3) Get rid of the stuff that hasn't sold at 3 different carboots now. Nobody wants to do another one - not even me - so lets get shot of it all.

    3) Try to organise my life and brain better so that I have a guilt free day off once a week - or at least an afternoon and evening off, having got plenty done in the morning.
Lately I find, If I'm not working hard to pay off our debts I feel guilty, and get fidgetty.
We watched a film the other night, and I couldn't tell you a thing about it cos I spent the whole two hours thinking I should be eBaying - and I actually did check my emails and sales when hubby went to the loo!

    4) Reach my £10k Halfway mark goal in the Pay off £20k by Christmas 2008 Challenge

    5) Get the food shopping totals back on target by being more involved in the Grocery Challenge on MoneySaving Old Style.

    6) Learn to cook something new from my Jamie Oliver cookbook or my Slimming World one. (sorry this one is a bit vague and woolly!) If necessary I'll just open a cookbook at a random page and cook that! :D

    7) Read some books not concerned with moneysaving, personal finance, growing our own food etc.

    8) Post on here a bit more regularly. I think I don't have time, but i watch at least an hour of TV most days so I could be on here instead.

    9) Have 22 NSDs

    10) Fill up my eBay shop with everything I've got to sell. (It won't sell if it's not on there right?)

    11) Carry on not drinking (much) I've got two parties to go to but I will limit my consumption at those and not drink all of the other days.

    Great thread Hypno!

    Love Jacks xxx :D

I have been a little slack with my dfwing, have finally paid off all debts except my family (kind of loan, kind of gift until I am richer and they wont let me pay back at the moment)and the mortgage (must update signature) I have not really been trying to be so good. However I want to start overpaying the mortage and raise some savings.

    So in June I will:
-Sort out my mobile contract as I think its cancelable now
-Have as many NSDs as possible
-Raise some extra money from Ebay, amazon, ms and hopefully some other route I dont yet know about
-Cancel my Lloyds cc and get a new one through Quidco for the cashback and use this only for everything but pay it off in full at the end of the month.
-Try a Blockbuster cashback trial through Quidco
    -Open an ISA

Hopefully I will think of some more to add!

    Have a great June everyone!

Crikey Jacks, just seen your very long list for this month, looks like you'll be busy. I still haven't got round to mine but at least i do have an excuse of being too busy, as have been away on a course all weekend. Mine will probably to do lots more matched betting and working on my counselling stuff and setting up my business.
