Exactly. The food might be great but you don't buy it for the nutritonal value and forget any free range sort of stuff there.

erm...I didn't say that. Much of the food is of excellent quality, free range etc. My comment was specifically related to fast food, and highlighting that the chicken bake isn't particularly healthy - it is, however, of v.good quality with huge chunks of (real, not reformed/processed) chicken. Find me a place that does a healthy pizza and I'll move there. It is possible to eat healthily in the cafe - there's salads and baked potatoes at bargain prices - it's just very difficult not to go for the wonderful chicken bakes/pizzas/hot dogs.
I really must stop loafing and get back to work...

Not so impressed with their Pizzas. The hot dogs and chicken slices could keep me going for months though ;) :rotfl:

Ooh, you do surprise me. The spicy meatball pizzas are even better now the "bake at home" ones have been redesigned so you don't have to trim them down to get them in the oven!!

Costco pizzas are great - we have to drive MILES to get these for our kids cos they love them. But now we have Costco in Milton Keynes it's not so far to drive - fantastic :D
You don't get medals for sitting in the trenches.
  • The beef is unsurpassed - huge, red, fresh cuts. No other supermarket comes close. And they have frozen tuna steaks which are excellent too - individually packed, 10 in a box so it's about 80p each one. The bagels are great, too and can be kept frozen. They defrost on their own in about twenty minutes and still taste very lovely. And if you like middle eastern teacakes, check out the baklawa! Slightly expensive at 6 quid a box but as good as you'll find in any middle eastern restaurant.

Nooo... they're more convenient but no matter what you do the crust tastes uncooked. Has to stop buying them, pity since we loved the round ones.

55-quid(!!) LeapFrog Baby Learn & Groove Activity Station (Costco)

If you're a parent of baby(ies), prepare to be flabbergasted about this (unless you've already purchased one for some 50% more, elsewhere)... wait for it...:
Costco (I saw it at their new store in Milton-Keynes) is selling the fabulous (but, for some, usually prohibitively expensive) LeapFrog Baby - Learn & Groove Activity Station for 46.99 ex VAT or 55.21 inc VAT ! At the time of this posting, the same item is selling for approx. 50% more at many other retailers; ie:

    Amazon UK £74.94
    Additions Direct £79.00
    John Lewis £79.95
    Argos £79.99
    Early Learning Centere 80.00
    abound £89.00
    Kays Lifestyle £89.99
    Great Universal £99.99
