Having just done the "Costco Run", I think the best buys of all just now are their 20 Christmas Gift Bags @ approx £12 inc Vat, and the wooden Santa's calender with the Christmas scene, the 25 wee wooden "gifts" and drawers for less than £20....The MSE Dictionary

For a bit more you can get a Silentnight latex mattress from Costco which some retailers are charging up to £599.Don’t be a can’t, be a can.0 -
Don't know if it's already been posted and I can't be bothered to go right thru this thread, but Costco have some great toy bargains if they're still in stock when you get there:
- MegaBloks Pyrates set £46 (this includes a ship which costs £49.99 on its own, a ship which costs about £35 on its own and a fort which costs £20) - Junior going to be very happy this Xmas
- Playmobil castle £75 - retails at £99 everywhere else
both such great bargains that they won't last long I'm sure. You don't get medals for sitting in the trenches.0 -
We shop at Costco regularly for catfood, laundry stuff and soft drinks. We also get all our meat there - it's truly excellent. I buy the huge packs of mince and split/freeze it in bags - ditto with multi-trays of pork/lamb/chicken.
Mostly everything else tends to be too much at one time for us. DH has a Snickers and packet of crisps every day with his packed lunch so we buy boxes of 48 of those at a time, but that's about it.
JulesThe ability of skinny old ladies to carry huge loads is phenomenal. An ant can carry one hundred times its own weight, but there is no known limit to the lifting power of the average tiny eighty-year-old Spanish peasant grandmother.0 -

No, it doesn't appear to be. The one in Costco has a latex top attached (built in) to the mattress. It was around the £250 inc vat mark. The mattress model is Cambridge.

You can ring your local Costco to find out, they don't normally ask if you are a member - done this lots of times to save me an unecessary trip. VAT is normally not quoted so please ask.HLK

Hi Borgman,
I bought one of the Thermofit mattress toppers from Costco a couple of weeks ago. It has transformed my night's sleep. We bought a £400 (rather firm) mattress 6 months ago after buying a couple of cheap useless ones but have not got on with it at all. I was always waking up with a bad back, stiff neck and pins & needles in my arms. Since we bought the topper, I've been sleeping right through the night (unheard of for me), get no pins & needles and or pains. It feels amazing to lie on - you slowly sink into it and it envelopes you slightly. So, as you can gather, we're really impressed with it and can thoroughly recommend them. Considering the same size Tempur topper costs £650, it's a bargain and I'm sure it's all the exact same foam anyway. We bought the pillows too and although they take a few says to get used to, find them really comfortable too.
Hope that helps!0
