They are supposed to be the same but if they are different then you have a cause for complaint. The policy is to make sure all customers who pay the same membership fee are to be treated the same.

Also was told by the membership mamanger that the prices are supposed to be lower than the market for all the items they stock. This is supposed to be the justification for the fee. If we find anything that is cheaper elsewhere without a promotion or sale we are supposed to let the manager know so that he can do something about it.

    Hi

Just back from Costco Milton Keynes. Purchased a Thomas & friends
Wooden train set and storage seat for £35 inc VAT. I saw these before christmas for approx £85. Set called Sodor Work & Wash set and has 100 pieces
The storage seat is red and has a padded blue seat with Thomas logo
I think this was a very good buy

  • Wow - they went quick!

Just called them and they said they'd sold out. Apparently they'd had a few phone calls in the last hour or so.
  • This was in Manchester Trafford Park was £ 39 in Asda last week.
  • Went this morning to get something else - and they did have these. I got a few, and there were 5 left when I left about mid-morning.

I asked them why they'd told me over the phone that they had sold out, and they said that if the computer shows less than 10 of something in stock they are told to tell people that they are sold out, in case there is a mistake on the stock system.

But get this - this morning they reduced these still further to £19.97!
  • Hi, Please can someone get me one of these and I'll pay extra for delivery? I went to Leeds branch and the last one had just been sold :(

A slightley off topic question, do Costco have official sales or do they just reduce random items in price & sell it as "normal price"?
