Hello Edna_clouds
I rang Vodafone yesterday, and was also unsuccessful in getting as good a deal as you. Can you confirm that 08000686560 is the right number to ring and also could you let me know the chaps name that you spoke to and I will have another go at ringing back today. Would much appreciate it as I need to save some money.0 -
I'm disgusted with Voda, rang them Friday to see what they could do before I move to o2 (not done yet) for the 8800 and the guy told me that due to demand from new customers then they couldn't do an upgrade on the Nokia 8800! Enquired about the Sony W800 and they couldn't match the O2 student deal, pants! So much for customer satisfaction.0

. So I daren't try again! (The direct sales phone number as quoted above 08000684404)
Instead I phoned 191 from my mobile but they said they couldn't offer me a better deal than the one I already have 100mins/50texts for £15. They tried to tell me it was a very good deal but very politely I told them it wasn't according to O2 tariffs. So asked for my PAC code and that's on it's way............................ Have you tried to phone Vodafone Direct at all?
Couldn't find them (Vodafone Direct) on internet - just Vodafone and their deals weren't what I wanted i.e. too expensive.
I havent tried ringing any one yet as i dont think i will beat the £15 for 100 mins x network anytime plus 50 txts not going by their new tariffs..so i will prob change supplier0 -

After phoning them a couple of times and being told I was on the right tariff I've been waiting for my PAC code.
Got a call today on my mobile from PAC department asking if they could offer me anything to stay. Told them the offers various people had mentioned etc and that Vodafone had said I was on the right tariff etc. He apparently looked at my account and said I needed more text as I always went over but my mins were pretty constant at 100. Anyway he then offered me an 18 month contract with a new phone. I turned offer down & explained I wasn't interested in an 18 month one.
So after chatting he offered me 125mins x network/anytime plus 250 texts, 1/2 price rental for three months @ £10, 9 months @ £20 (£5 increase) and Nokia 6680 plus bluetooth headset thrown in as well on 12 month tariff.
No SE w800i in stock atm but I could have had one - I think. I eventually decided to accept it. Works out to £17.50 per month inclusive. That's enough tariff for me anyway and I'm happy getting an extra 25 mins and 200 texts. Also happy with the 6680 as it is one I had looked at.
So don't give up and make sure you ask for your PAC code 30 days before end of contract. I think if I was a high user I would have got more but I'm happy at an increase of just £2.50 and no cashback to worry claiming back:).0 -
