SMF2 and TPA thank you so much for thinking of me; yesterday was the toughest day I've yet had in my life and likewise for DD and ex-OH. Now renting a room but not here every night and in fact will be away on business for two weeks from Saturday, so it should be ok for a few months. First step in moving forward, finances to then be discussed and resolved hopefully via mediation. I do hope my ex-OH will be able to move on in due course and rebuild her life of course.

Onwards and upwards Stuart and as always a dodgy hug for all of you :grouphug:

Many thanks, things have been very hetic as I had a 2 week business trip to the USA in mid-March and of course am presently sorting things out. Had a great weekend away where I used my Marriott points for the hotel (Sprowston Manor, Norwich) and was upgraded for free to a Junior Suite! :jWhilst the breakfast and evening meals are certainly not budget prices, the cost was equivalent to a decent B&B and eating out in restaurants. Partner and I enjoyed the break.

Spent Good Friday with daughter and wife, discussed some aspects of split with latter then played Shadows over Camelot for a couple of hours, which is a great board game for older children and adults alike. Today with DD we went walking in the sunshine for a couple of hours and tomorrow she will come with me and meet my new partner for the first time; DD is quite relaxed about it. I'll meet partner's children this weekend, but they are younger so taking things slowly with them, hoping they will adapt also. So we are moving forward in personal matters with all concerned and need to start formal arrangements on assets, having got some valuations on properties etc.

Financially, obviously things are in flux, but funds are doing ok presently. Current mortgage is just £6.5k and fully offset, but I will need to raise funds to buy-out partner's other half. My OH is looking at possibly selling and moving in the near term. Hoping to have much resolved by the summer for all concerned. DD will be taking holiday with her mum and I'm just looking at what I may be able to do with DD, partner and her children.

I'll try to catch up with the board over the next few weeks and trust everyone is ok?
