I would seriously look elsewhere and see what stock people have... just be sure you can cancel the Tesco order before ordering elsewhere.
Funds have gone up in total again today, all helping to create a cushion for what lies ahead. Savings not at level I would like, but mortgage of £8300 and 100% offset I guess in essence means target is nearly achieved here, but, I would prefer to have finances stronger before paying down the mortgage in case we need to draw upon those extra savings which are part of our emergency pot.0 -
Wore my "Trapper hat" today...
http://www.newurban.co.uk/p1125/kangol-wool-ushanka/product_info.html is a pic from one web site. Now colleagues laughed at it, but, I went for walk at lunchtime and (remember virtually no hair on the old bonce) was toasty warm as the snow fell heavily
Kept ears and neck warm which the thermal beanie would not have done.
We've had a long culture of no hat wearing in winter, but maybe a few cold winters will change that quickly? I recall when living in Oakham, Rutland when I just drove in before snow closed the roads back in 1991 or 2, I had to get a hat after walking in waist high drifts - it was a flat cap. I thought I'd get odd looks, but none up there, only down in Oxfordshire and Cambridgeshire; seems little has changed but I'm middle aged now so I'm supposed to have lost all fashion sense anyway and be a grumpy old man :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:0 -
