13th payment made today and SO cancelled.
Roll on the 17th which happens to be a Friday.
As far as I can see from previous posts,I wont be able to access this money until the next day,Saturday and should then be able to move it to my other websaver paying a higher reate.
    Is this correct?

This is really weird. My wife and I both opened regular savers of £500 per month and paid £5000 each into a Guaranteed Saver account. I've been paid £381 interest gross and she's been paid £928.88!

     :j

Bloody hell! That's some mistake. The maximum possible gross interest at 12% was £442.

I managed to transfer mine out the same day. It automatically went into my websaver, and I transferred it out elsewhere the same day.
  • Mine matured last week but never transferred to the web saver. I'm continuing to pay £500 per month in and current balance is about 7200, will I get 4% on the entire balance or have halifax made some mistake here. I cant transfer the money as theres a problem with my account "awaiting details" even though I've been verified and have other active accounts.

Dont suppose any fine person could offer any advice?

If you ring them on 08457 26 36 46 and take it from there.

Something is wrong with the account and there's a risk to your 10% rate if you don't get it resolved.

    Hi,

    I paid £500, every month for 12 months - £6000 total.

I received the interest a few days ago which was £323 gross, £258.62 net. Does this seem correct ??

    thanks

I paid an initial deposit of £500 then £500 for the next 12 months and only had £260.81 after tax.

Martin's calculator says it should be £300?

Will give them a call tomorrow to check this before I make my transfer out.
