Yeah that is an option if we can't get the Saturdays that we want, it would have to be the 24th as the others are too early for decent weather for our honeymoon in kefalonia or too late!
spent the last 5 hours looking at venues - am stressed already lol
I had my first honeymoon in Kefalonia - was absolutely gorgeous - hope it's still as unspoilt as it was then.
Officially a non-smoker but still rounder than recommended

We only viewed one venue lol. I *knew* the moment we walked in there

:hello:
Hello & Welcome To The New Brides!
I hope your planning is going well! Mine (like i said the other day) is pretty much non-existant at the moment. Got a couple of uni things to do, and were going away for a few days next week so im trying to organise that. (You know what men are like  )
I also had the experience of going into the first venue and deciding that one was the right one! I knew straight away that it was the best for what we needed it for. We have 2 rooms and one is for all the eatting and party etc and the other is just one for the older members of the family to be when things get alittle too loud. There joined by a door but its still 2 rooms.
Hope you're all good
x I'm getting married in August 2015:j0 -
I had my venue about 4 years before the proposal:o .I saw the castle years ago in a magazine and fell in love with it.I said to myself then that if ever I got married that would be the place:D .
I did have a few wobbles through the early planning stages and thought of a home wedding because of the price of the venue but I just couldnt deny myself my dream venue in the end."Reaching out to touch the stars dont forget the flowers at your feet".0 -

That's why we're getting married that weekend (it was originally Sunday but has ended up being Saturday and I'm not really sure how that happened but nevermind!). Although I don't think it's a BH in Scotland (each city seems to have their own, I can't keep track of them all and I seem to work them anyway) nearly all our family will be coming up from England so it means they don't have such a rush to get back.Got married 23rd May 2009, many thanks to all on the Weddings and Anniversaries board for their help and support!

Sounds like you got a good bargain on that one! Mine is coming in at several hundred over £1000 (although we have insisted on getting copies of the pics on cd/dvd with rights to reproduce them - we did have to promise not to do any really horrible photoshoping of them that made them tacky!).
Yeah we were pretty pleased with the price, especially since we get full copyright of the pictures and will get every picture they've taken on disc in full colour and black and white....0 -
I'm getting married on the 18th July 2009 like some of the others here
Just found out that my aunts goddaughter is also getting married on the same day so that could be complicated...
I have booked the church and reception venue (my local church and village hall - I've always said that's where I'd get married) and think that it should work out quite cheaply because we are locals! Well my parents are anyway - we've moved away.
Haven't sorted out anything else because I figured they were the things I wouldn't compromise on; anything else can wait!0 -
Can I be the first for 2011?! Not sure what month yet though...
Congratulations to everyone! :beer:0 -
Well, getting closer now...
Dress has been bought
Church has been booked
Engagement ring has been replaced and will get my other fixed eventually
Have my colour scheme - black and white
I know what my bridesmaid are wearing, just need to buy them
Well, that's about it, but I have got over a year left yet
Pigsback - 500 points, Happyfly - £37.92, Juicy Brains - £1.25, Valued Opinions - Zilch, Casback Rewards - £2.78
