            :T
We have been so lucky in that a lot of our friends are really good at photography. We have about 6 of them all bringing their cameras.:rotfl: Saves us a fortune!
My uncle is a fantastic photographer, and he would have done them for us, however, he is also a Vicar so is doing the ceremony and we told him we wanted him to feel like he was going to be there as a guest rather than doing everything for us...
Plus, its a lot of responsibility to heap on someones shoulders, if something went wrong, imagine how bad they may feel. Obviously if you have more than 1 person its not such a big deal, but for insurance purposes, obviously you couldn't claim for loss of photos when its friends doing it for free.
Ours wasn't too badly priced compared to some, £750 and that includes full copywrite to the photos. We are having them for before/during/after the ceremony, but not at the reception, just going to ask my uncle to capture the speeches, first dance and cutting of the cake.0

My outlook on the photos are, if we get a good one of the pair of us and one of the kids, then we are happy. Anything else is a bonus.
I have been told that i am too laid back about this wedding but for me, it is about me and alec not all the details!
Having said that I am manically getting all the little decorations etc together! 0 0

That banner looks great! And 4 of us on 23rd May...
I'm off work at the moment and trying to think about weddingy things to cheer me up, got my florist sorted and finally got a quote out of the caterer, we had some crossed wires it seems! My 'official' engagement ring arrived last week too, it's by Ola Gorie in Orkney, where I was born.
I've made an inspiration board to give my bridesmaids an idea of the sort of colours I'm thinking of. They can choose their own dresses as long as they are pink.
OH has begun his suit hunt, he wants a blue one like Dr Who but apart from fancy dress ones from eBay he's struggling. Still early days though.
Hope everyone else's plans are going well!Got married 23rd May 2009, many thanks to all on the Weddings and Anniversaries board for their help and support!

Next up will be dress shopping!
Sounds like you got a good bargain on that one! Mine is coming in at several hundred over £1000 (although we have insisted on getting copies of the pics on cd/dvd with rights to reproduce them - we did have to promise not to do any really horrible photoshoping of them that made them tacky!).:hello: TTC since 11/090

The OH proposed to me on holiday last week, needless to say I spent the rest of the holiday dying to get home and start planning!
We're looking at end of June/beginning of July 2009, will put date on when booked.
Just starting to realised how expensive it's going to be, so off to have a look over the board now for ideas on getting my perfect venue relatively cheaply!!
If anyone in manchester/warrington area has any suggestions they would be greatly appreciated. Our family all live elsewhere so a sat wedding is a must so that they don't all have to take time off work to stay over.Mummy to Thomas born April 27th 2010 8lb 5oz0

Have you thought about a bank holiday Sunday? Our family is scattered across the country so we are getting wed on May24th with is a Bank Holiday Sunday, which gives the family time to travel up on Saturday and travel back on BH Monday :T0

Yeah that is an option if we can't get the Saturdays that we want, it would have to be the 24th as the others are too early for decent weather for our honeymoon in kefalonia or too late!
spent the last 5 hours looking at venues - am stressed already lolMummy to Thomas born April 27th 2010 8lb 5oz0
