My mum was very talented with a sewing machine-she did clothes for all kinds of formals and even made our bras and knickers. Sadly she passed away when I was 19 so this is going to be my way of honouring her for her contribution to who I am today-same with the cake...in honour of mum:)
:happyhear So sorry to hear you lost her so young, but what a lovely idea to do this yourself. I bet she would be so proud of you too.

I bought some beads back in South Africa and they had tiny pink roses in them. I wasn't sure what I's use them for as I'd never really worn pink-but they were pretty and I figured they would go in a tea cosy or something. Thank goodness they didn't because when updating about my flower girls dress today I thought of the beads-they blend beautifully with the shade that I chose for my bodice, so I made my jewellery. Am I able to post pictures on the board and if so, how? I'd love to hear what you think.

    They sound gorgeous.

To post a picture, you need to have an account with photobox or a similar online picture storage place. Or even facebook. But you must have it so that anyone can access your pictures. Then just upload your picture to there. Once you have done that, right click the picture and copy the "properties". Back on here, click the button along the top that looks like this---> insertimage.gif

When a box appears, you need to get rid of the "http//" that is in it and then paste in the properties of the picture that you have just copied. It is easy really! :p

Just give it a go and see what happens. We all had to learn so don't worry if you get it wrong. :T
If you get it right, you shoudl be able to see the picture. Hope mine shows up!

    Those really are gorgeous beads!
A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...
Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.

Well have just got myself another bagin. For our invites we are doing message in a bottle. I saw them at a wedding show but they wanted £6 an invite!! so i have been on a mission to source everything myself so i can make them. I had found a supplier of the bottles but they have recently put their prices up so was going to cost me £79 for 100 bottles which is too much for my pocket. Onto good old google which brought up an ebay auction for 144 bottles ok more then i need for £55 incluing next day delivery or your best offer so i offered £47 incluing next day delivery:T and he accepted!!!
I can then sell the extra bottles i dont need so hopefully will be even cheaper.

My dress i got from ebay arrived last Thursday and is amazing, on the ad she said there was a rip in the netting well neither me or my mum can find it and the mark on the dress will be removed when i get the dress altered(sp?) as its way to long. Just need to work on fitting into it now :rotfl:
