s-d-w, how are things? Has the rain stopped? Are you dry?

i spent years ignoring my waistline and fitness--in Turkey community sports centres are non existant and in my part of the city their is only one private centre with all the facilities you would expect from a council sportscentre in the Uk--i bit the bullet and paid the exorbitant rate for all the family and we joined last Saturday--we are all feeling great and much more energetic now and i have lost a kilo plus reduced my appetite!--i gave up drinking the local beer in January and have shifted 5 kilos but there is a long way to go!

It is not raining at the moment, but the village is still in the clouds. Thanks for asking!

Roof not leaking :j although husband is still sceptical as there is usually a delay while the water seeps through the roof. I however am convinced it is going to stay dry.:)

Hope it's still the same story, or better!

  • Torrential rain today, but still no leaks! :)

Looks increasingly unlikely that our son and his girlfriend will be able to travel here on Tuesday though. :( We asked Iceland for Cash, they gave us Ash.

Glad you're warm and dry, but it's sad about your son's visit. There must be many thousands who have been upset by the travel difficulties. Could your son consider a Eurolines trip? Long and tiring, but at least they'd get there.

  • What is Eurolines, is it a train? Apparently theyare all full! Anyway by the time he got here it would be time to go back, they only have a week. If they had longer it would be worth a try.

Some holiday-homers from the village are going back on the bus on Tuesday if there are still no flights.

s-d-w, are you familiar with this site? Tells you about rain and cloud cover where you are.
