Hello everybody  and to those in need :grouphug:
Those flowers look fab PP - why not press some of them?
Well, what has been happening to me. Well Mr Rage's leg which everyone got very excited about and thought was a very rare kidney issue - is cellulitis. Nice to see that all those doctors spending their formative years in med school wasn't wasted then  ....... Unfortunately Mr Rage's exhaust has fallen off - not his personally :rotfl: (does he have an exhaust?) but ELVIS our trust Vauxhall. Well, when I say "fell" I mean hanging on for grim death. So that was £375  - probably doubled the value of Elvis but he has served us well and otherwise is running perfectly for a 10 year old car. So we had to just grit out teeth and get the work done. On a plus point I counted my change last night - I have £87 for Mr Rage to bank at the end of this week :j PLUS 2 new avon customers :j . Only 9 days to go until I have a week off and at the rate Mr Rage's leg is going he may well be off with me  I have told him that I don't want him going back to work and putting weight on it until it's fully cleared up. Apart from that not much exciting (although I am having spag bol made for me tonight - what's that about then
?). Tonight will be bedding in the washer, some home admin and maybe try to list some e-bay stuff. I have now started on the train on the elf sampler for my nephew so I've got my "head of steam" and I'm fairly "chugging" along with that - see what I did there?:D Right, I'm off for a surf.
RageBut I'm going to say this once, and once only, Gene. Stay out of Camberwick Green0 -

Aaaaaaaaaargh!!!
Just spent 20 minutes typing out a nice long message about why I haven't posted for nearly a month, all about my lovely holiday, the catering I'm doing next week for a work do, and the stinking internet ate my words up...said I wasn't logged in when I had just logged in before typing my message *screams*
Will type it again later when I have more time!

Just wanted to tell you DD's wdding dress turned up. Took it round to her. It fits perfectly, (thanks to the laceing up the back), but it's too long even with 4inch heels, so we'll have to get it taken up. She was thrilled with it, so am I!:T :TI Believe in saving money!!!:T

Afternoon all
Sorry about your pain PP - hope the nurse can do something for you
Forgot who's going to wembley tonight but it's very drizzly here in west london.
happy birthday busygirl - life begins and all that
only an hour and a half till I can legally clock out of work, dash into a nearby phone box and transform into OldRockChickLady for the gig in Brighton. I was going to get a lift back as far as Aldershot tomorrow but it's only a couple of quid difference to get a return train ticket and come back a bit later by myself so I might do that.
have a good dayI'm going to feed our children non-organic food and with the money saved take them to the zoo - half man half biscuit 20080 -
Hi everyone!
Happy Birthday Busygirl:beer:
This will make you laugh.....my time in Asda this morning......
Went to get some milk (2 for £2) only to be charged full price - when I queried it, the cashier said they NEVER have offers on milk! I explained yes they did, I had only got some the other day. She called someone else over she said the same thing:rolleyes: - No there is clearly a red label I said and there was a BIG advert in the paper on saturday! "The offer was probably last week and finished monday" she said - "NO" the advert was only in Sat's paper I said. She went and checked and came back, confirming that the red offer label was there, but stating that the guys in charge of that section didnt know what they were doing:rolleyes:
I got home and checked the paper and the offer is on till 13th June!! I really do hate it when they talk to you as if you MUST be wrong and your some kinda idiot! Just shows you how much their staff know! I've a good mind to go take the advert in and shove it in their face!:wall:
I also said I can't find the Cornflour - have you looked over there she said, it's there - Yes Ive looked there, its not there I said - "tried the HOme Baking section??" she said - DERRRR well where do youthink ive been looking in the Frozen Peas?????!!!!!! of course I blooming well have you silly tart! (I didnt actually say that but I wanted too! ) Why must they ask you the blooming obvious?? do they think we are all from the Planet Zog like them?  :wall:
(Cornflour has now been moved with the gravy, I found out myself:D )
Came home and made some fairy cakes with kids, put them in the oven, came on here to check emails...got way-laid -and yes.....they burnt!:o
Had to do another batch!
If I don't laugh I'll cry:rotfl: Time for a brew, ive got a headache!0 -
Hi there everyone.
BusyGirl - Happy Birthday to you! It won't let me post the birthday cake icon so please just pretend it's here! Sounds like you are having a good day.
CATOWEN - hope your headache clears up.
PENPIN - the flowers look gorgeous and they've gone to the most deserving person I can think of. Hope the nurse sorts out your pain.
BETH - any news on your ops yet?
HILSTEP - you must post a piccie of the wedding dress.
SHEZ - I find lots of things are never where you expect them to be in the supermarkets! The shelves must be stacked by people who don't do any cooking or catering!
Well, it has poured with rain all day and I haven't been out - there's nothing I need so the rain will give me a no-spend day! DH keeps popping back - he's converting someone's spare room into a bathroom for the next two weeks and today is 'shopping' day for all the materials; he bought one of his sub-contractors back with him. This chap has recently discovered Lidls and it's all he talks about! My nearest one is five miles away - as opposed to my local which only takes five minutes by car - but I'm going to have to suss it out this week; he says it is SO cheap so I hope it's worth the extra in petrol!
Anyway, I've done the office work so I intend to settle down to do some knitting for a couple of hours. Dinner is steak pie with carrots, courgettes and gravy, followed by bread-and-butter pudding.
Well, see you all later.

jayward--don't feel guilty about complaining, even if you are a nurse and are still being treated. put a formal complaint in and stand your ground.

Good afternoon all:D
BusyGirl, so glad you've had a good birthday so far. Hope the rest of it is as good:beer:
And for those souls worried about me with an angle grinder, I didn't actually operate it myself, sillies:p , I supervised:rolleyes: as only I know how:rotfl: :rotfl: PenPen, DH did speculate on the way over whether he should have kitted himself out with the uniform too:rotfl: Oh and meant to add, Mr CM's isn't as big as the chap in the picture's. ( anglegrinder, people, anglegrinder)
Just back from doing the lunchclub, and I'm bushed! Luckily DH had just put a pot of coffee on to brew, so I fully intend to stay here until every drop has been drunk:D
Haribo, what have you done to the birds that they're taking revenge on you like that;) Or perhaps they just want to give you first go at the worms:rotfl:
stefejb, enjoy the gig. Don't do anything you'd be ashamed to tell us about in the morning;) My Mum would say that to me, the rotten spoilsport:rotfl:
It's been dull all day, but seems to be brightening a bit now. If my poor aching back stops, I might even plant up another tub or two. Seeing your photos of your tomato and cucumber Pink, I wonder if it's too late to buy plants? ( And folks, believe me, she's nearly as non-technical as me:rotfl: )
Enjoy the rest of the day, CM xYou never get a second chance to make a first impression.0
