Hello Possums,
I can finally say it's a bit drizzly here today.Freezing as well. I'm off to have a lovely hot shower in a sec. I went to the dr's this arv. I have thyroiditis which is making me have an underactive thyroid. Makes no difference, outcome still the same. I just need to take a pill.
Another blood test in 2 months to check it and adjust meds accordingly. I had to wait 2 hours for all this. My doctor's Irish too btw.
And then missed the boat, and had to wait an hour for the next one in the freezing cold. I chatted to some blokes fishing.
DH not home yet. New episode of House on tonight so I'll be watching it. Made spinach pie tonight which was nice.
Busygirl Happy Birthday

Many Thanks for the best wishes for OH at the hospital but its actually DD's this time. She is having a radioactive scan and will be slightly radioactive for the rest of the day, apparantly as long as we dont have to go through any airport scanners she should be ok.

Well DD and I have made a bannana loaf, and bananna muffins, I then made her tidy her room and hoover through downstairs, she was muttering 'slave driver' under her breath, and I was muttering 'allowance' under mine, she is a good girl really, and always helps me when she is off, she is upstairs doing her hair now  , ready to go out with my sister at 12.
I am going to potter around the garden once she has gone, avoiding the showers, got some plants to pot up, then may just relax with my book

Well, since I posted earlier, I've managed to have a shower, put some washing on and that's it. I didn't even make dinner, OH did. And he was at work all day
Aussie I shall choose to ignore your comment
I've had a brilliant idea - I'm going to go away again and stop posting for a few weeks. Then, I'll come back, post at some ridiculous time in the morning (UK time) with a list of what I've achieved that day. I'll conveniently forget to mention that I'm in Australia, and 9 hours ahead, and sit back and lap up all the admiration for my motivation :T0 -
Hiya :hello:
Hugs to PenPin and the flowers are lovely.
Thanks for all of your birthday wishes and I'm proud to be 40!
I'm having a lovely day even though the weather is pooh here. I've had lots of lovely surprises from DH and the girls. Last night I was sent to bed early as DH was up to all sorts. A friend of his made a sponge cake which was stored in a neighbour's freezer, so last night he creamed and iced it for me and then he put up a huge banner suspended from the hall ceiling which he and the girls had made in secret.
I was woken up with breakfast in bed and a ton of presents to open.He went shopping in town yesterday and went a bit over the top! I got a Joni Mitchel CD, a necklace, t-shirt, chocs, Hershey bars, perfume, a nice pen and notebook,a mug with a picture of the family on, some books including one about Grumpy Old Women(!) and the girls made me some lovely gifts too. DD2 who is 7 used her sewing kit to make me a purse and stitched it up, but also put cellotape on it too.:D
After all of that, the doorbell went and the local florist turned up with a lovely bouquet of flowers and some birthday balloons.:D
So I've been spoilt rotten and DH is in the kitchen making us all lunch. We're going out later to take the girls bowling and then for a meal at Frankie and Bennys.
So no OS here today from me, I'm not even going to put the wm on!
Hope you all have a lovely day too!0 -
busygirl, what a fantastic family you have! Hope you have a lovely day :beer:0
