Morning all.
Sorry haven't posted for a few days, OH has been using modem for his laptop so the desktop has been offline.
Wow I'm earlier than usual on here.
OH has gone off to catch the bus for his first day at Jury Service ( sounds like my child has just gone to school for first day!!:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: ).
Had a bit of a thunder storm early on, just cloudy and grey here.
Not much to report, over the weekend one of the large conifer trees that backs onto the row of houses we are in blew down  (think it was Saturday night), anyway it had 2 trunks to it and 1 of these has gone, luckily it went in the opposite direction of the houses but I'm sure it must have done damage where it fell. I cant quite see over the wall. I was more worried about the squirrels and bird nest in it  .
:grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug: to all in need.
Now have to change over to laptop, while OH is at J.S I promised I would carry on downloading all our cd's to it for his mobile rock disco, it's going to take awhile but it saves us having to carry about 1100 cd's...think i may get bored so i have some knitting to do aswell.....
See you all later or tomorrow morning...PinkPunkBird

Good Morning All
Happy Birthday BusyGirl
(((Hugs))) to anyone who needs one, PP hope your pain killer kicks in asap.
Was woken by the huge thunderstorm last night but managed to get back to sleep. We are off to London today to see England v USA and are staying in a hotel nearby - think I need to pack clothes for all weathers. The sun is shining at the moment but believe heavy showers are forcast. DD has an hospital appointment in Euston first thing so has worked out well.
So not too much os today, need to iron and sort the clothes out we are taking this morning, also need to do some business paperwork.
We will be eating in the Beefeater restaurant tonight but before 6.30 so get the early bird and will be treating ourselves to a full english tomorrow as at the hotel kids eat free.
I hope you all have good days.

Morning all, just a quick one from me as I'm high-tailing it to the library (oh joy) and it's the time of year where if you're not there by 9 you don't get a space. I'm very fussy about my workspace, so I need to find a corner away from everyone to hide in. Dr Jeckyll is after my paper draft and I haven't finished it, so I need to avoid him. I feel a bit peaky (totally self inflicted thanks to a 16hr day and vodka after work
) so a snooze in the library might help.
Pen-pin ((hugs)) for you, hope they can find you something to help with the pain
Pink - I can't belive how fast the A-levels have come round this year, best of luck to your DD. I'm marking again this year which is hard work, but I quite enjoy it.
Rzl - glad you're feeling better
Squiggly - that's a lovely idea about the garden
Have a good day all, cel x:staradmin:starmod: beware of geeks bearing .gifs...:starmod::staradmin:starmod: Whoever said "nothing is impossible" obviously never tried to nail jelly to a tree :starmod:0 -
Morning all!
Getting my hair cut this morning so that should be nice. Needed to cheer myself up after an absolutely rotten week last week (very upsetting) so hopefully it will cheer me up. Am walking down but will take my pack-a-mac just incase, will look super fashionable with that and my skinny jeans on, hehe. Have our holiday money to bank which is the main reason why I will be walking into town, plus it is much better for my health and my pockets!
OH is off work today so hopefully he wont get in the way too much! He needs to fix the loo and finish off the spare room ceiling, so whilst that is being done, I can do my marking and housework.
How shocking is this-a guy at work moaned at me the other week because I said that I do all of the cooking! He asked why my OH stayed away and I really felt backed into a corner and had to explain myself... grr! I do the cooking and he does the bathroom! He is much better at cleaning the bathroom than cooking, and I would not like to clean the loo! Some people, eh?
I missed the storm last night-or maybe I didnt! I had a dream about one instead-bizarre.
Hope you all have a good day, hugs to those who need/want

pouring with rain here today. day off for me, but going in to work later for a group meeting with my boss. bit of a pain but since its the first time we will have met her, or heard from her, since she became our manager 10 months ago I felt I should make the effort.
its pay day here :j unfortunately its a basic pay, but next months should be a bit healthier. I get a payrise on the 30th and I have done a lot of extra hours this month. must put claim form in when I go to work today.
need to do a big food shop later. The supermarkets will be mobbed this weekend so must make sure we have enough to last until next week.
hope everyone has a good dayx x x0 -
Morning all,
No painting today as my post op assesment is at 1pm, can't really go there covered in paint. I am so pleased that today has arrived as the painfull nights are getting worse, must have managed to get about 3 hrs last night.
I've cleaned all of my rollers and trays, hate that job. The carpet man measured up yesterday and quoted £1,200 to do the whole of the house  I have to have some of the underlay replaced as well as all carpets due to many accidents by the incontenant dog.
I used a whole can of Oust but it still smells, not OS but don't know what else to use.
I have made some steakburgers for dinner tonight to go with jacket potatoe and salad. Done some ironing and have ordered a new BM, have gone for the Panasonic SD255.
((((((( Smokey, PenPin, JackiO )))))) and anyone in need.0
