Hi guys
Still haven't managed to total my exorbitant spending for the month, will have a go tonight.
Wanted to ask some advice - I'm growing tomatos in my backyard at the minute. The instructions say to start feeding once 'the fruit has set'. Does anyone know how you might know if the fruit have set?? Mrs M? Any advice gratefully received...0 -
Just back from a weekend camping at Donnington - watching the Moto GP. I have totally lost track of my GC total and I think it's best if I strike off the rest of the month and start again next month.
Mrs M - hugs to you and your sister
Excel - I can't remember who needed spreadsheet but you can download a similar package from openoffice.org - for free!!0 -
MrsM-thinking of you and your family...sure your visit will be a huge comfort to them all-it's a horrible thing to go through.
dink1-you're very welcome, glad I could help...hope it's a success-let us know!
NSD here today so far, though that could still change as we have run out of fizzy (or dizzy, as it is known in our house!) water, but at 18p a bottle I think we can stretch to a few!!;)
We're into the home stretch now folks....keep going and stay strong!!

Hello again...
Belfast girl.. I have always started to feed my tomatoes once a week -once they start to flower.. as the tomato food encourages flowers..feed goes in around the stem, on top of the compost and in a morning as thats when they feed, and just watering is best done from underneath if possible-so if they are in pots.. water into the saucers as it makes them dig their roots down so you get stronger plants
hope that helps ...
Welll Denise :T ..cakey is done and tested..It wasn't too bad..1hr 20 mins.. he is a little well done but its how huby likes things.... we have both had a piece with a cuppa whilst still warm and it is gorgeous... if a little big.. i swear -if i had paid it loads of loving attention when mixing it would be like a biscuit... cos i whalloped it together look how its risen :rotfl: .
As soon as its cool im going to slice and freeze loads so it doesn't get eaten in waste..just because its there:D
so thankyou for that recipe..its a deffinite "do again" :T
and once again thank for all the kind thoughts-6 -8 -3 -1.5 -2.5 -3 -1.5-3.50 -
Just been catching up. Mrs MC you are a bad bad woman- you know that I now have to make those muffins tomorrow as DS hasn't got preschool and I'm working tonight.
It'll be a good excuse to have a bakeathon really.
From what I remember muffins don't generally keep too well as they are quite moist so I shall use up some of my freezer space to store them. I will also make some twinks. I've got some bread in atm so that'll be ready just before I head to work. Off to put the pasta on now ready for tea.
Mrs Mc- do I take it that DH was succesful in getting your flights back then? I reall do wish you all the best and just don't run yourself down while you're back- OK? Right lecture over. TTFN, Kaz.
ETA: DH walked in as I was posting so I made him get tea ready while I made the muffins. I had 5 sorry looking kiwis so I added the strawbs and doubled up the mixture. I've got 30 muffins and a loaf in the oven now. They'll e out in 10 mins but they look delicious!
I'll probably let the loaf have longer though so it cooks through properly. Then I'll take it to work tonight cause we've got a lovely student working with us tonight. I should be in bed but couldn't resist the idea of cake!Debt: 16/04/2007:TOTAL DEBT [strike]£92727.75[/strike] £49395.47:eek:   £43332.28 repaid 100.77% of £43000 target.MFiT T2: Debt [STRIKE]£52856.59[/STRIKE] £6316.14 £46540.45 repaid 101.17% of £46000 target.2013 Target: completely clear my [STRIKE]£6316.14[/STRIKE] £0 mortgage debt. £6316.14 100% repaid.0 -

Paying off debt bit by bit0 -
Firstly - MrsM - just wishing all the best to you & your family.
Secondly, I think I now have some idea why my shopping spend is always so high!!
Because I am writing everything down, it has suddenly dawned on me that I'm shopping EVERY DAY:eek: . and not for sensible stuff. oh no........ I nip into MrS or MrT for 'just a bottle of milk' do I come out with just a bottle of milk? never:eek: . I always find something that I really can't manage without, or a bargain that it would be silly not to pick up, so I may save money on the reduced stuff, but they get it back in the biscuit/ cake/sweets/crisps aisle instead. ( and I'm supposed to be on a diet, this could be why everyone else seems to be losing faster than me as well:o )
Reading on here, loads of you have No Spend Days - I haven't had a single one this month until yesterday. (and that was only because I couldn't be bothered to wash my hair, so I looked like Medusa and wouldn't set foot outside the house:rotfl: )
So I need to update my signature to confess to £314.81. up to now, and still a week left to go, although I should manage with just bread and milk. (might send DD in with the money and tell her what I want - she is very disciplined, puts me to shame really:D )
So my challenge now is to really make a shopping list, only buy what is on it, and NOT GO SHOPPING EVERY DAY:o0
