Shopped today at Morrisons, £41.59 after taking off my £5 voucher. This did include a fan (just in case we have a heatwave :rotfl: plus I treated myself to a magazine and a pack of Magnum ice creams and a nice bottle of wine for my birthday next week. When checking the receipt though they have ripped me off on a faita wrap kit - supposed to be on offer at £2.25 but scanned at £2.99. To go back for a refund would cost me more than 74p though

Still well in budget, will shop again next thursday for treats to take on holiday, then anything left in the budget will be spent on takeaways whilst we are away.
  • Bang off target...again...this month!

I've managed to overspend every single month so far. Good news is that I have loads of food in the house so I'm going to go for it for the July challenge. Also planted out loads of veg so got to the point now where I don't have to buy lettuce as I've got plenty in the garden.

Hats off to you guys who keep to the budget every month :)

Went to Aldi today with DH (big mistake!). Total spent £21 something- I'll have to go find the receipt in a bit. £7.98 of that was for thermal cups for the car for holiday.
Just had chicken curry for tea but had it with pasta because I wildly over estimated how much pasta I needed the other night and had a pot full left!
MiL gave us some lettuce and strawberries earlier so won't need to get anything green for a few days at that will supplement our lettuces that we already have.
Got out a pot of pasta sauce and some bavarian ham for tea tomorrow and probably Tuesday. Will have it with pasta, salad and french sticks from last week (heated in oven after damped down to revive the staleness).
Off to work in a few minutes yuk!

Yummy, we made it to PYO strawberries, DS2 was eating them constantly,
I'm sure he ate more then he put in the basket. We have some chilling in the fridge, 1/2 coated in chocolate, some for tea tom, to make in muffins, DS1 having a smoothie later, and loads in the freezer (I know they will be soft when thawed, but ok for smoothies / jelly etc). Its so much cheaper, £1.25 per 1lb punnet. I can really recommend it.

Yesterday I made an apple pie, 6 lemon curd tarts, 60 Jam thumbprint cookies, 12 buttercream choc butterfly cakes and 36 choc chip cookies, the latter came out more cakey than crispy like biscuits. Did put them in the oven again today, they crisped up a little but was afraid of them burning.

I think these vouchers are MrT vouchers in the NOTW but they do normally accept other supermarkets vouchers aswell. I got this from MrT's website:

"We are currently accepting coupons for Sainsbury's and Safeway both in our stores and for on-line Grocery transactions. Just hand your coupons to your driver when your groceries are delivered. We'll credit your payment card back at the store and send you a receipt in the post. If you are in-store, just hand these to the cashier. We can only accept up to £15 worth of coupons for one delivery."

That might have been about the Morrison's vouchers, some tescos were accepting them. These in the News of the world are for Tescos I think. Wish they would space them out a bit, I am still using the Morrisons ones, still have one left for next week.
