Today is definately a NSD, as will tomorrow be, and hopefully everyday til the end of June:o I'm determined not to go too far over budget, i have another 4 pounds off a 40 shop but i dont think i'll use it. I only used the last one so i could get the money off which is why i've spent so much. Much check when its valid to, hopefully could use it in July instead.
Edit: Its valid until 6th July so i'll use it then.

Its probably just separated. Give it a good stir to get it to recombine and if you're planning on cooking with it add a teaspoon or so of cornflour to stabilise it.

    Hope that helps. Luc73 x

incase you didnt no they dont actually have to wear school uniform in nursery or even primary school by law. i know it looks cute and inkeeping but you will find more than half the nursery children will where old clothes that they can get paint on etc. might be worth saving the pennies til the next year.

Thanks for the advice Betterlife. I was aware, but the school is very oversubscribed. Just because dd has a nursery place, she isn't guaranteed a school place. I don't want to rock the boat and risk her school place, especially as they are doing me a favour. I don't live anywhere near the catchment area, but work at the nearest secondary school so they have allowed her a place.
Thanks to all the lovely people on here I have managed to cut my hours down to 2 days a week, allowing me to spend more time with my gorgeous Children. :j

    Hiya
It's proving to be an expensive month because I've stocked up on lots of bogoffs. I had three overripe bananas and decided to bake a banana cake last night (usually i'd have put them on the compost:eek: . Anyway, I had no eggs last night so got them today and made the cake. It's lovely!!!! I'm going to cut it up and freeze it so I don't eat it all. Also means I can make a couple of meals with the left over eggs.

I can't remember who said to look and see what food I had in and just buy the bits to make up a meal. It's so simple but I wasn't doing it before. So, thankyou very much!

I'm going to make a bolonaise after i've picked up children. I had everything in apart from the onions so picked those up with the eggs. My only problem is there seems to be a bit too much month left for my budget!!! xx

Is there scope to talk to whoever is in charge and agree that she'll wear uniform colours in clothes that fit until she's big enough to wear the smallest size? Seem ridiculous to expect you to pay so much for clothes that are way too big. Will it be difficult to approximate the uniform from a different supplier?

£60 seems very expensive - what is included in that?

MrsM- the potio is inspiring!! Superb! My tom plants (three kinds) are growing ok, and the ones from seed (another kind) have 3 or 4 true leaves so going to plant into bigger tubs tomorrow. They are still all inside (been out when it was sunny and not too windy) but due to forecast gales all the toms have been on the window sills. The cucumber plants have 1 true leaf and another coming along (they all look IDENTICAL!!!- scarily so). Also the herb plants are doing well and the seed herbs starting to grow. Tattie shoots appearing now, as are beetroot seedlings and shallot shoots (loads). Tatties, beetroot, some lettuce outside. Some lettuce also inside- some died, rest look spindly but more leaves are coming and some starting to show pruple/red colour :).
As expected I had to spend some money today.
Spent approx £8 in Coop on:
    reduced to half price-
beef burgers (two 4 packs @ £1.10 each)- so thick they can be halved and 82% beef so not crappy ones!
beef sausages (two 5 packs at 74p each)- also lovely, used to buy fp and a real treat!
massive cauli (30p)- will make more cauli cheese for us/DS.
frozen cumberland sausages (10 for £1.50)- 'Truly irresistable range'
    non-reduced-
    Greek Yog (£1.59) for DS
    Some lollies
    Carrots

Also spent £13 in local deli, on some gram flour, various bags of seeds and nuts for bread and pesto, bombay mix, and dried pears for DS.

    Updated sig.
Will not need a big shop this week, so although spent approx £21 today this is a lot less than we would have spent on a big shop buying goodness knows what lol.
Our new tesco is opening up in 4-5 weeks and so will go in there and stock up on yeast, flour etc. Have enough of that for a few weeks yet!
Ok, everyone is doing so well, lets keep at it.

Couple hours - I'd chuck in an onion and a couple carrots and a bit of celery too if you've got to add to flavour.

Will make a great base for leek & pot soup.;)
Thanks for your advice. i can say that the soup is made, looks a bit gluppy but tastes ok so a few in fridge for work this week and freeze the rest ready for next week!!
always on the lookout for a bargin always better when its free!!:T
