Bob for a few years we paid our Council tax, by standing order and NOT d/d as they wanted, over 12 months instead of 10. They didn't like it and sent all kinds of notices of arrears etc., but come the end of their financial year, end of March, we were up to date. It really annoys me actually that they expect it in advance and dictate the terms of paymentNothing is so fatiguing as the eternal hanging on of an uncompleted task. William James0

I know quiz, i reckon he has been off spending money cruising in fast lanes just to annoy me.
I can't believe the amount! and that didn't include the trip to Cornwall either...His car has a load of gadgets on it, which can basically tell you miles to the gallon and such. It is saying 37mpg at the moment, so i wonder if someone is siphoning it out. I told him to turn off air conditioning as well, but given the state of the interior he probably needs fresh air!
I agree miggy, do you know up until 2 years ago, i always paid it in full as i didnt want a large amount going out..yep i was that organised. I begrudged every penny but felt it worth it at the time, so i hate being skint and having to pay monthly.Blackadder: Am I jumping the gun, Baldrick, or are the words 'I have a cunning plan' marching with ill-deserved confidence in the direction of this conversation?

He might have a leak. Check for petrol smell after a journey. You'll need to get under it to check properly."Follow the money!" - Deepthroat (AKA William Mark Felt Sr - Associate Director of the FBI)

Bob I was just looking at your join date and realised it was only last November so wondered how you came across this site IYSWIM ? I can't remember how I started, might have been newspaper article or Martin on GMTV.Nothing is so fatiguing as the eternal hanging on of an uncompleted task. William James0

I have actually been on here for over a year and a half, miggy. I joined a while back and then just kept looking at tips and what not. I changed internet providers and lost my username, couldn't get my other name back, so rejoined under this one. I only posted about 4 0r 5 times on that name. I have been a big fan of martins for a while and before that the mortgage free chappie Rene caryoll, so that was my initial interest, ways to cut back and overpay the mortgage! laughable now eh?Blackadder: Am I jumping the gun, Baldrick, or are the words 'I have a cunning plan' marching with ill-deserved confidence in the direction of this conversation?
