Free £5 M&S Voucher
Comments

Hi
I've just removed a post containing a £5 voucher code someone received in a letter from Pruhealth. Pruhealth has contacted us to say those letters are targeted at specific people and they check applications to make sure it is those people that apply.

Hey just rang up for my freebie and they said due to a recent "hoax", they would check the codes with their marketing department to see if I really received a letter! I hung up!
No voucher for me. :eek:0 -
that £5 could have bought me a sandwich, a packet of crisps and even a bottle of pure orange
Dont knock it Pharcyde. The best things in life are free.0 -
Pharcyde you do KNOW that this is a MONEY SAVING forum - so the point is to save money. If pru health didn't want people just phoning up for a qoute then they shouldn't have made the offer only dependent on a quote - they could have made it dependent on taking out a policy. Also I think we get your point that YOU think it is a waste of time - you don't need to keep repeating it - also the people at Pru health get paid to take these calls - so what do they care if people don't take out the policy0

just rang over is not valid now suprise suprise0

I thought the offer for the M&S voucher and the first aid box were also featured on the Pruhealth website - no? So why are they saying it was just a targeted mailing? Problem is that they are a lot of companies out there who don't like it when the likes of Martin comes along and takes their ball away from them. The result is that their true colours, and possibly an element of arrogance, starts to appear when they find they find they have boobed.MSE_Andrea wrote:Hi

The code was absolutely definitely on their website, because I checked there yesterday morning when I called in and even mentioned this to the person giving the quote. They are lying about it being sent out in a targetted mailshot. Quite scandalous really.0

Nah...i saw the code that was removed just before it was removed and it wasnt the one on the website..it was something different ( i wont re-post as im new here and dont want to get booted!) I was gonna phone with that code as im already have my insurance with Pruhealth and thought i may get a freebie as im coming up for renewal..turns out that none of the other insurance companies can get near the quote i got from the Pru and i like my cheap gym membership so ill live without the voucher!0

Agree, I saw both codes on the website for the £5 M&S voucher and the following day for the free first aid kit.

Ad also in Saturday's Times(24/9), postcard-size, lower page corner - sorry, paper recycled, so don't have page no.) The code included is TIM031; tel. no. 0800 092 6666. Although website address also appears, copy does read 'callfor a quote today'(my iIalics). I used the website but at no point found mention of voucher and could not proceed without giving Bank details and committment.
