  • We normally take a week to use up our left over gammon/ham with no ill effects. You could freeze some and use it to add to pasta sauces at a later date - we normally chop it first so that it can simply be added to the sauce and warmed through.

    However, I think you could get another couple of days sarnies/cold meat platters from it :)
    Warning ..... I'm a peri-menopausal axe-wielding maniac ;)

  • savoury pancakes are nice, just make a cheese sauce & add the chopped gammon pieces & use to fill the pancakes. my mum used to do this with the left over gammon from Christmas :xmassmile

    i once heard an expert say as long as u wrap it and keep it in the fride cold gammon will last up to 6 weeks... personally mine never lasts this long but i have had it in there over a week.

    u can slice and freeze it as well the same as u can with turkey

  • I would use in a quiche then freeze, or serve with buttered new spuds and veg...yummy. Or as someone else said with pickles or chutneys in fresh bread mmmmmmmmmmmmmm.
