Hi, we have been renting a property for 5 months now and technically due to leave at the end of next month. However, we know that our bond has't been protected and we haven't received the Section 21. In addition to that the house is up for sale and are thinking of buying it. What a nightmare as it means we can't sue them if we want to buy it! We don't know whether to give our months notice next week or not if we decide not to buy! Very messy!0

Assuming you are on a 6 month AST you do not need to give any notice if you want to leave on the last day of the 6 month period. But as soon as you go 1 day over the 6 Months, then your tennacy goes periodic and you will have to give one Months notice (on or before the day you pay your rent) in order to leave.Don't pay off your student loan quicker than you have to.0 -

Obviously this doesn't matter if *you* are the buyer but if anyone else wishes to buy with vacant possession, they will discover that your tenancy still has some time to run.0 -

I am living on a rent for quite a long time and it is very important for us to maintain it. well, when you are living as a tenant then there are so many things that needs to be consider.

My student daughter has asked me to be her Guarantor for her rental property. She has emailed me a form from Easy-Check.co.uk Tenancy company however the information requested on the form is very indepth. How do I check this company through official organisations. She has not currently provided me with any details of the Rental property and the Website itself seems limited with the information provided.

Make sure that you inform the landlord or letting agents of any repairs that need doing, (even if it is only cracks in the walls or ceilings that appear) and always do this in writing. Keep proof of postage or signed for: or keep the email. There are threads on this site where LLs/EAs are charging tenants for any resulting damage and claiming they were never told or the original problem even though they were.
If you do tell the landlord or estate agent verbally, follow this up with a confirmation letter/email, dated and signed and keep this proof.
There are a lot of threads on here where people thought they had a decent person for a landlord, only to find that was not so when they moved out.RENTING? Have you checked to see that your landlord has permission from their mortgage lender to rent the property? If not, you could be thrown out with very little notice.
