So you would eat food that was off and other food from the same place?
One duff dish out of how many? What do you think the enviromental health and trading standards are there for? They aren't there to sit at a desk all day twiddling their tumbs!!
They are there to deal with issues like this!
Clowns after a fee meal?I say ring them up and report the take away place!
What is point? And, ring the take away place and demand you money back!
Demand compensation!!!"Love you Dave Brooker! x"

why do you seem to have such a problem with this?
do you own a take away place that sends out dodgey food or something? you are really defensive over this!!!
I dread to think the kinds of things you eat if you think eating food from an establishment that clearly produces bad food is ok!
How do you know it was 'only' one 'duff dish' as the otheres weren't tasted? Oness bad enough!!
Are you calling Zebedee a clown??
The point in reporting places like this is to prevent other people receiving bad food, and eating it!! If for example, a person had a cold and their sense of smell and taste was impaired they would eat the food, not knowing it was bad, and be very ill afterwards! It is worth reporting places like this! I had food poisoning from a takeaway place some years ago, after calling in the enviromental health, giving samples, and them conducting an ivestigation the place was closed down! Quite rightly so as it then surfaced that many people had got food poisoning from this
place!
That is the whole point in reporting incidences like this one. Food poisoning can kill in some cases, it isn't something to be taken lightly or ignored.0 -

The OP actually said:Well, we had the starter which was really nice,
I'm not saying that I agree with Brooker Dave in his reply, just pointing out that the OP was happy with some of the food.
Also, the OP ordered the food last night, which would have probably been a fairly busy Bank Holiday Monday for the Takeaway.
He/she posted on here at 8:30 pm last night complaining that the manager hadn't rung back.
I wonder how much time had actually elapsed between the manager collecting the food and 8:30pm.0 -

OP rings them and says food is bad, takeaway depatch manager to have a look and offer a replacement.
What more could they do?
if you bothered to read the original post properly then you would have understood
quote "It was the manager that came to collect the food and i went to the door and had words with him, he said he can't give us the money back, but then said if the chef says there is something wrong with it he will bring us the money back. So i said 'right then, i'll be waiting for your phone call then, and if you don't ring i will be reporting you tomorrow'
And guess what? He hasn't rung! ""0 -
OP i think you should give the takeaway a chance to respond by apologising and giving you your money back,No Links in Signature by site rules - MSE Forum Team 20

Whenever you get bad food anywhere it's really horrible and does put you off, so I sympathise.
I work in a Chinese resturant/take away. We have never had any 'bad' food go out, sometimes wrong orders (which are replaced) and any food I deem not good enough I send back - some waiters/waitresses aren't as fussy.
The chefs are usually extremely busy in these resurtants, Chinese ones more than others it seems and so sometimes things to go wrong.
The offer of a replacement meal is something we would have offered, although we probably would not have offered a refund (it can get very confusing sometimes as a lot of things seems to get 'lost in translation' and I have to step in to try and sort things out between customers and management).
Managers are often very busy (especially on an evening, I'm impressed he came out to you, I doubt my boos would have even had time to speak to you). Personally I'd go into the take away and explain your situation. Things are more likely to be understood in person than over the phone (in my experience)."All of us are lying in the gutter but some of us are looking up at the stars." Oscar Wilde.0 -

It is a friendly website, other than the odd troll like a certain someone whose name rhymes with "hooker slave"...
If food was off, then why on earth would you want a replacement??? I would say you were quite entitled to a partial refund for the maincourses!
In future, I recommend the chinese takeaway from Marks & Spencer, or possibly the posh one from Sainsbury. MUCH cheaper and definitely tastier than a takeaway!Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')
No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)0 -
Brooker Dave has been accused of being said troll in the past.
Then there was Dave Booker (who I haven't seen in a while) who was also accused of being a troll... And not forgetting dangeroussports...0 -

Thankyou very much hun xx
I just don't appreciate being called 'clowns after a free meal'
I am not a 'clown' and i am not after a free meal!
I would never have complained if the food wasn't off, but this is unacceptable. I don't serve off food to my family at home, there is no excuse really, and if they genuinely didn't realise then surely they would be appologetic and willing to give a refund??!
I run my own business with my partner, and if we make a mistake we do what we can to rectify it, and we appologise and mean it, we value our customers!:starmod: May all your wishes come true! :starmod:0
