Dispute over the colour of this item.

How many times do you read a description where the seller says things like 'the item is a dark shade of green, not purple as shown in the photo'? You see it a lot and that's because photos aren't reliable. If the colour is important to the buyer then oughtn't they to ask the seller a question about it?
The photograph taken by the OP is a very good example of what I'm talking about. It looks just like the photo in the listing to me, and I can't see the colour difference.
Had the seller described the colour as 'blue/grey' then the item would have been 'not as described', but s/he didn't state the colour.
Incidentally, I've just asked my son 'what colour is that in the photo?'
He said it was red. He's colour blind.0 -
The pic on the auction looks black and grey to me.
The pic above looks black and grey/browny to me, so it could well be the one the seller had for sale.
Same here.
When I followed the EBAY link I thought the seller had sent you a different coloured item, but now I have seen your piccy of it, it looks the same colour - dark blue/black and light blue/grey.0 -
Its certainly not blue so the photos are obviously not capturing the colours correctly. So i guess i should have asked but the seller should have also stated the colour.

Shes refunding me the price of the item, not the postage and i paid to send it back so shes not really losing out. Possibly a few pence in fees but would have covered that in the postage.Bringing up 2 handsome boys and 1 gorgeous girl the MSE way!Joseph born 19th December 2001Matthew born 8th August 2007Tara born 23rd January 20110
