Today I'm cooking cod with a tomato, onion, herb and celery topping and I have mixed the topping with 1 weekabix to make it crunchy. It's cooking now so I'll see how it turns out.
I went to visit my elderly nan earlier today who has meals one wheels once a day. I was there when it was delivered today and it looked OK. It costs her £4.10 per day to have 1 meal delivered which got me thinking about starting a meals on wheels service.
I wrote an essay today about the ways that transport have helped the tourism industry and also did some data entry work. Phew what a busy day.2008 Comping ChallengeWon so far - £3010 Needed - £230Debt free since Oct 20040 -

Yes I get fed up of cooking from scratch. Feel like every evening and my whole weekend is in the kitchen cooking and clearing up sometimes!
So last week I've bought a couple of jars of sauce, some frozen stirfry mix and had a couple of "easy" meals. This week have a shepherds pie I made in the freezer and might make two lasagnes to freeze (as have a large pack of mince). Also OH wants me to make some soup for lunches so will make a huge load of it and freeze it. For me, it only takes a few easy no think meals a week and I feel better about cooking OS the rest of the time!working on clearing the clutterDo I want the stuff or the space?0 -
ageandjo wrote:Does anyone else feel like me at times? I feel fed up with cooking from scratch, watching what I spend, sometimes just sometimes I feel like splashing out on something that will no doubt make me feel guilty in the long run, don't get me wrong I treat myself but sometimes I see others with a trolly full of this that and the other and there's me searching for all the yellow sticker stuff.
Perhaps it's just me or PMT has kicked in again this afternoon
No It aint just you sugar.
I feel like that ALL the time:beer: Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.
Theres no dollar sign on piece of mind
This Ive come to know...
So if you agree have a drink with me, raise your glasses for a toast :beer:0 -

If its any comfort, ladies.....
It is a FACT that 99.9% of women are slimmer and prettier than they think they are (the 0.1 are the arrogant 'stick women of the hinterlands').
Don't do yourselves down, concentrate on what you consider are your plus points, not the bad
Repeat after me. PMA, not PMT:dance:There's a real buzz about the neighbourhood :dance:0 -
Hi everyone,
Sorry maybe I made a mistake merging these threads. This is a thread on Old Style pick me ups.....please can we try to keep on topic. Ageandjo, would you rather I split this off and added it into the daily thread or sent it over to DT?

((((((((((((((smashing blouse))))))))))))))) At least you don't have to talk on MSE
My day went completely down the pan when I got to the hairdressers only to find I should have been there tomorrow. I can't make it tomorrow as DH is working overtime so I have had to cancel.
Then I went and spent £200 on a laptop! It is really DH's christmas present and I have told him that although he's getting it early not to expect anything much on the actual day now. It was in Cash Generators and thanks to the savings account it was really nice not to have to put it on their budget plan but to be able to whip my card out and take it home the same day. DH is over the moon as he's wanted a laptop for ages.Organised people are just too lazy to look for things
