    morning ladies

DH let me have a bit of a lie in this morning so i feel reasonable and a bit less sore. think the rest helped as well as your wealth of tips. thanks.

DH has popped into work and taken DS1 with him. i have a small list to do today, and will see how i get on.

WM - [strike]load of bibs/tea towels[/strike], load of kids clothes
    write R's birthday card
    post card and rental DVD
    boots - buy baby nappies/infacol/conditioner/razor blades/sanitary towels
get mum some flowers - 30th wedding anniversary tomorrow
    LR/DR - hoover
sc - beef stew type meal

plus anything else i can manage - would benefit from doing some ironing

I'm in for today, hopefully. Although with DH around he seems to distract me more than normal..

I also have to clear MT Ironmore as it really hasn't been touched again since last week. I don't know how it keeps growing, especially as there are only two of us

I'm still in a bit of pain with this darn sunburn. Tomorrow I have to go to the Dermatology dept at the hospital regarding my moles, and I am not sure what they are going to say re the sunburn. DH said it was a bit ironic really, I get sunburn just as I am going to the Skin specialist..ooops!!

First thing's first I am going to jump in the shower while DH is out drowning the dogs while they are on their walk - it's raining really hard here and the boys were whinging so he took them out, and they are going to come in looking like drowned rats, all three of them (DH, two dogs). Better hunt out some towels and leave them down here so he can rub them dry..

Wash any throws/curtains/cushion that need freshening up

    Wipe sofas and dusty places
HHC in the hallway.. sort those coats and shoes and mess!!
    Extras

Binbag dance... grab a bag fill it and fling it!
Spend 15 minutes tackling a hotspot!!

    Morning all
Am in this week! We have the rellies coming over later for a bbq (well that was the plan. Am now sending DH outside with a brollie to do the cooking!)

The washing mountain has been conquered and managed to catch up with some of the ironing watching Inspector Lynley last night.

Right - off to chivvy little gingerpeople into helping out. (Wish me luck!)

    Oooh - just remembered -

    HAPPY BIRTHDAY SERENA :bdaycake:

It's really wet and miserable and cold here - I've just put the central heating on. I was sitting in the armchair by the window that's being replaced tomorrow doing some crochetting and could feel the north easterly wind breathing down my neck through the gaps in the old sash... hopefully my heating bills will reduce....

Now, if I had that wood burner, I'd just need to stick a couple of logs on rather than fire up the whole heating system!

    Hi All

Nice to see Michelle about - will read back on last weeks thread in a min to see what you have been upto. Hugs to GnB and Pigpen - nothing I can say to make it easier but we are all thinking of you.

I have been at work this weekend but I have managed to get the lounge and hall carpets shampoo'd. I take back what I said about my Bissell machine - it is fab. I think I must have had a faulty machine from the day I bought it as the replacement actually does what I expected it too all alone. I cheated and used stardrops (with fabric softner in the water to stop the foam/bubbles;) ). Used 1/4 of a bottle so cost 20p vs £15 for bottle of "proper" cleaner :money: .

Will not get much done as going straight to MIL after I finish work for tea and to collect the little uns. DH has 2 days off so few jobs I want to get done but as weather forecast so rubbish may just get the buy the stuff and do at later date:rolleyes: .

Not looking too bad actually. Sofas could do with a proper clean with saddle soap rather than wet wipes so maybe later in week.

I hope you do not mind me joining! I have been viewing this for ages but never found time to do any posting or any flying. However I was made redundant on Friday so now I have no excuses. I think I also need to join lots of other threads like Greenfingered and grocery challenge, but for the moment the house is my biggest challenge. Until Friday I worked full time, have 3 kids who all swim a lot (we have to take to 17 training sessions a week) and I am involved on the swim club committee so I was kept very busy. My downfall is that I get obsessed with the small detail of tidying, so you will find that the house is chaos, but all the kids pencil cases are tidy and all the pencils in the house are nice and sharp! Not very productive. So I think I need the flylady directions so I get my house in shape and not waste my time off.

Wish me luck with the challenge, (and the job hunting - but hopefully success will not come too quickly as I need a few weeks off)
