    :hello: to sheldon08

Poohbear - re wedding dresses - I was really lucky that a friend of the family offered to make mine (which turned out to be very lucky since I fell pg inbetween setting a date and getting married :rotfl: It was a long engagement though and dd1 was 9 months when we got married. I must have been a real pain though - as it had to be left really late before she could start making it  ) So I guess what I am saying is do you know a really clever seamstress? I was then able to look through mags and pick out "bits" of dresses that I liked and it appeared like magic! We also managed to find the same silk in a for half the price per meter by shopping around...

JAMIEDODGER and skipsmum - huge hugs to you both.

    So far today...

I told my mother she could come help tidy up before AND after lol.. terrible daughter that I am!! back end of the summer holidys it is going to be a sty in here!!

I was just so mad she said they didn't like the christmas cake she ASKED me to make and it looked fabulous!!.. and ours was delish (according to DS1)

    dsc06135smlrs3.jpg

This morning escapade.. this is PVA glue.. it was thick caked in her hair too!!

:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: Oh Pigpen I feel for you.....WHY do kids do that stuff? Reminds of when DS1 was 3, I was making tomato soup and he was driving me CRAZY. After several "naughties" (washed hall carpet in milk, painted back door with mud etc) I made him sit at the table for time out. After 10 minutes I said he could get down but he didn't budge. 15 minutes later he is winging and whining about wanting to play with his duplo but every time I told him to "get down and get on with it then", he shook his head and sat there.

Guess what? - yep - he had taken 3 tomatoes from the bowl on the table and sat on them :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: Funny now but was ready to cry then - I'd only recovered the kitchen chairs the day before with pretty yellow fabric!

Flying - ummm....so far this week not tooooooooo bad. Everywhere tidy, vacuumed and dusted. floors all washed, washing up to date, got to go fill the cake tin now and sort out dinner.

    Happy days!

Done nothing so far! DD was a ratbag this morning after waking up at 5.30 and I haven't been able to sleep for needing to wee and pelvis hurting- this is honestly the first time in I's 16month existence when I've regretted not having any family anywhere close by so that I could palm her off (with our families it's generally just easier to get on with it IYKWIM!). So we went to soft play with an equally pregnant friend and her DD, regretted it cos they just wanted to run in the big kids' bit so needed following (yep, 8 months pregnant and squeezing under one of those car wash style things - very elephant, err, elegant!)

HOWEVER, she then fell asleep in pushchair on way home (can count on one hand the number of times she's done that since she was born, nosy little devil) and then slept for 2.5hrs. I've had nearly 2hrs of the best kip I've had in weeks and feel almost human! May actually get some flying done this aft afterall! And if not, I might have the energy to run away from Pigpen's golden fluffy mules of power as they come hurtling down the m62 towards me....

    right, belated lunch
