    I dont have a ccj.
I just have a default, the debt was written off at the time of the default being registered against my credit file.

The OP says they have a CCJ and are after an OD and Maestro.

Yeah, sorry thought you meant me.
I think some banks will give there customers a OD so long as they keep there current account in good order and fund the account at least monthly.
Even with a CCJ you can get on, as when I got my default against my credit report, the bank gave me a small OD at first (my old bank, now closed) then put it up when I was operating the account correctly.
As I say, the banks tend to do internal checks not re-credit check you for a OD so long as you already have a account with them.
    Sorry for the mis understanding.

kk, Natwest will credit score you each time you try and create/increase your OD and it may come back as a decline on 'Credit History'.

I guess it depends on the bank your with, I know A & L dont re-credit check you, only do a internal check on your operating of the account.
But you might get lucky if you wait at least 6 months since you had the account and re apply.

OP, you may be offered an OD some time in the future but don't get your hopes up.

I applied around 2 months ago, but being that there a part of Provident that is why, I took a loan out for £400 with Provident afew years ago and the rep stopped calling to collect payments, I offered to reply the amount in full with intrest, they refused in there office to take the money from me!!!!
After that I just left it, they passed it on to debt collectors but told them the above and they wrote the debt off as it was Providents fault, but thats why they wont let me have a card:mad:
