I'm sure most people who comp just enter for what they or someone they love want don't they? I certainly do anyway.Life is all about the journey.0

Having seen some of the posts over the last week or so on the 'I Won' thread I am getting slightly irked.
People winning tickets to see acts they don't even like, or for events that are too far away from them or people complaining that they have won something they can't use/is cr*p!! The list goes on & on.
 So here is my solution - DON'T ENTER THEN!!!!
Ok rant over... as you were!
Quite often there's a comp I'd love to win - games console, DVD, whatever, but the main prize has tickets, so even if there are 100 runner up's of just the DVD I don't enter as I know I couldn't use the tickets if I won them. It makes me really angry when I see all the 'I won but I can't go' posts. The odd one is fair enough if someone misread the date, or they only get 6 hours notice to find babysitter etc, but there are more and more lately
I think it's a combination of ther ending lists, where people don't read the original thread properly, just work through entering everything, and the £2008 challenge making people enter willy-nilly just to add to their total, even if the prize ends up unused.Al Mac Appreciation Society (AMAS) member # 6½

I do too, I only enter for things I want or my family want. However I know that when you are new you can get a little over eager and enter anything and everything going!
And also, I know from experience, you can enter for a main prize that you want, but win a runner up prize that you don't (eg. Paintball voucher or Tutunkhamun tickets etc.)Value of prizes 2010 - 2017: £8374 Wins 2022: Magic set

Or is it just me! :rotfl:
Only 4 wins so far (pack of chewing gum, dvd and 2 bottles of suncream!).
I've been very lucky so far with wins since I started and know I shouldn't complain but I like to receive my post in the morning! Anything would do! I usually average about 10/15 wins per month, so 4 is really bad!
Anyone else depressed this month?!
Its been a terrible month for wins...
But there has been an increase in new members to the forum..
So im guessing that might be it.. We all have to learn to share a bit more..
So my intent of winning this years xmas presents might take a bit longer lol..
BUMMER!!! Really wanting to win OH xmas present.. As i am mega skint..Comping & Coupons!0 -
My wins have definately gone down this month. I'm not complaining because I have won quite a lot of small bits but I have noticed a change. I used to get a few winning emails at least each month but I have only had 1 WEM since middle of July. Thanks to everyone that posts :T:money:

Hopefully you will have a better September! I've noticed quite a few regulars don't have as many wins on their signature as they usually do.

Hey folks,
I have lurked for a bit, and had spurts of entering comps. I used to do a lot by post, but had little success (Barbie roller skates anyone?).
I was wondering, on average, how many comps do people enter a day?
For example Toniq, you have won SHEDLOADS this year, how many comps do you enter to win so mucH?
Or maybe i'm not that lucky...
Thanks folks,
SFG x0 -
