Hi all,
Just wondering if anyone knows how to clear cookies for a specific site (rather than just clearing all cookies)? I'm using IE if that's relevant. Sorry if I'm a bit of a !!!!!!:o
Thanks in advance for any help!
Click on Internet Options in IE
Click on general tab
Under browsing history click settings
Click view files
Navigate to the cookie you want to delete, right click & deleteAl Mac Appreciation Society (AMAS) member # 6½

hi, if you
go to tools, then click on add -ons
click in bottom right where it says get extensions
search snap links and it should be the first one on the list
click add to firefox and when finished it will ask you to restart firefox, do this and it should be working perfectly
Hope this helps and you can understand, I am never very good at explaing techy things
Thank you very much, got it! :j0 -

Thank you for your help Cheeky Chicken. Much appreciated!:A0 -
Glad it worked! I have to say FF is much easier - Tools -> Options -> Show Cookies and then delete the ones you don't want. Very simple (probably why it suits me so well! :rotfl: :rotfl: )Al Mac Appreciation Society (AMAS) member # 6½

I use FF sometimes too, but can't find the 'show cookies' bitAnd what the heck is a cache? I thought a cache was the same as a cookie
You'll be glad to hear that they don't let me out too often as I'm seen as a danger to society:rotfl:0 -
I've just like to say that I always use the comp endings, but when I first started using this forum I did it the manual way. I'm not sure whether I just hadn't spotted them, or it was before they started.
I like them, and really appreciate the time it takes for people to make the comp endings, but if it was decided that they should go then so be it, I'll just go back to the old ways.
I don't often post, so don't really contribute to the forum, but I do always thank the comp ending poster and the original posters of the competitions using the thanks button. I also will help out with advice or answers if the question hasn't already been answered.
If they go I will miss them simply for their convenience.0 -

Years ago I installed a little programme called Cookiewall
http://www.pcplus.co.uk/downloads/internet/cookiewall
which was a bit tedious at first because you have to sort out which cookies you want and which you don't, but once you've got it organised it's excellent.0 -
I always have a look on the comps ending to see if I have missed anything and to thank whoever has compiled the list. I have had a wee look today and was shocked to see that although there are 236 thanks the post had been viewed 2069 times.
I, like many others, love the community spirit on this board and although I do not post regularly I feel a part of this community. However, I do not feel that it is community spirited to use these lists and not give as much as a thank you.
I also feel the members who compile the lists do a great job and should never be made to feel under pressure - it is a fun hobby after all!
My vote would be to get rid of the comps ending0 -
I'm going out in half an hour or so, is it too early to post comps ending 10th August now? I'll check and add any more early in the morningJanuary - Nintendo Wii, 2 x Lush bath bombs :j
Feb - Pink Floyd CD0 -
or I can copy and paste what I have when I stumble in later...........January - Nintendo Wii, 2 x Lush bath bombs :j
