I haven't had chance to read through all the new posts properly because my little girl is insisting on crawling all over me lol

Just wanted to say that I'm quite new to comping and I haven't felt like I can't post at all. I think a lot of people are very friendly... I haven't posted much on the compers inn because I feel like I don't really know people well enough to comment.but I do read it and have a laugh at some of the comments.

I'm sure if someone makes the effort to join in and chat everyone is very welcoming :cool:

None of us 'knew' each other and still dont really:rolleyes: in the compers inn, a lot of it is random stuff we talk about, we have a lot of virtual drinks and lots of fun, daily chats about ':eek:real life' and all sorts, come and join us, specially at night:Dwhen the fun begins

I don't know about the Inn, but I think abuse have deleted a lot of posts in here - those made by that NJ whoever it was who came in yesterday saying we should all get a job :rolleyes:

I have no strong feeling either way re the comps ending list, trying not to sit on the fence here, I managed without them before and will again. The “atmosphere” on this forum has changed, I don’t know if that is anything to do with the comps ending list or not, it’s just an observation. I have seen a few snipes and nasty comments that I didn’t see before and one, helpful friendly, member pulling back as a result. I personally haven’t posted any competitions for ages as when I do find any they are already up here, I do however contribute in any other way that I can, finding answers, notifying of duplicate comps, congratulating people that have won etc etc. I have not volunteered to do any comps ending lists as I just don’t feel confident enough that I would do it right and not mess it up for everyone, I appreciate the work that everyone has put in to doing the lists, and then to be told that you have missed some off by some people, is just really ungrateful, and tells me that I have made the right decision in not doing any. I don’t often go into the compers arms or on here, I get a little shy at times!! But I do put my head in now and then.
I used to have a laugh on here but not so much any more, the fun seems to have gone out of it a bit, and some people just take it a little too seriously and enter anything and everything. I have seen this on the I won thread, ticket wins that are completely out of their area or for events that they don’t want to go to and worse, in my opinion, not offering them on here but selling on ebay. As a result of all this it’s almost like we are in competition with each other to “get” the most prizes.

I was just about to post an almost identical post to yours.

I joined middle of last year and ive never known such a lovely helpful bunch of people and the site was fun. Recently it does seem different and it would be nice to get back to how it was.

As for comps ending, i didnt mind either way before but i do have a problem with people just logging in ...going to that thread ...doing them all and leaving. Thats not what this sites about. The OPs have spent hours listing them and in my opinion to just take advantage and give nothing back is wrong.

I dont post a lot (try to post lots but they are already on), but i add any answers and help in anyway i can...always pm people if theyve won on frugaller etc...that what the majority of us are about on here...helping one another. So if they are causing hassle maybe they should go ...people can always search or just keep up to date
