I need to reply to this as it was me who messaged you to sat this because I am the one who organises it and as I said at the time I felt responsible when the list wasn't complete. But I do not feel I am ever rude in my messages and just pointed out to you that you had missed quite a few. So it was ME who found the missing ones and messaged them to you and you added them to the list without any reference to the fact it was ME who spent ages finding them when it wasnt even my day.

Ok, my twopennyworth. I've been comping for a while, more frequently over the last year due to the £2008 for 2008 challenge.
As far as the comp ending lists go, I can imagine they do take up a lt of time, and praise to the peps who complie them. There are more people on this forum now, who only tend to enter the comps and not 'contribute', but that is not always a bad thing. Maybe whilst they are not psting ideas or answers, they are partaking in other 'martin lews' activites.
If the comp endings go, I probably wouldn't enter so many comps but then I would search for them myself when I had time.
And if they go, then that means that the ones that search for them, have more chance of winning!! Thats a thought - GET RID!! :rotfl:

Please don't feel bad hun, you did a fantastic job & I know you are never rude. I'm glad you've made this post though, I really can't see any compromise working with the comping ending lists so the lists have to go full stop.

Going off topic, just spoke to someone about the 'In The Night Garden' goody bag I won & the 20 that were won are starting to be sent out next Monday so hopefully it'll be here for my LO's birthday (fingers crossed please )

You did nothing wrong at all, I'm sure you were just trying to help. If every list that was posted had some missing it would cause even more hassle so I would say sending a polite PM was a good thing to do. You could of just ignored it and let other people carry on complaining on the main board but you chose to help out.

I've had people PM me in regards to the board, not in regards to comps ending but just to let me know if I have posted something I shouldn't, I don't take offence to it because they're just trying to help and if they hadn't let me know I would be non the wiser.

Oh a lighter note, the little one is having a nap so I can now have a cuppa, some biccies and an hour of comping ahhhhhh

I have not and will not compile a Comps Ending Post. It strikes me that it is a lazy way to comp and people being people many will take advantage and just work through the lists without making any other contribution.

I can't see that it is much quicker to comp that way than to sort by "Thread start time" and to comp from where you left off. That's what I do anyhow.

I don't know if this is significant but I just did a count in the I Won Thread. I did not recognise 79 of the winners out of the first 97.
