I have really thought about all the points made here over the last few days & I think personally we should let them go til the end of August then say that's it. I know a lot of people will miss them but like others said if you go to other comps websites you'll find it in a better format like the comp ending threads if you prefer.
Kipper, or another BG, can you perhaps pass my comments onto wherever they are needed to go & see what they say please?
Anyone got any MAJOR objections?
Perhaps we could have a list of other websites which offer comps for people to take a look at? I know of Loquax, but which others?
I will bring the subject up with divadee when she comes back from holiday as I am holiday next week too and that will pretty much bring us to the end of August.
I can't say anything will be done, but I'll see if it can go "under review"0 -
ive got an idea
i should organie an ironing day for you

i personally dont enter the ticket ones or the holiday ones (i aint got a passport) bought if i knew how would happily do a comps ending list, but not sure how to doit, i would certainly be happy to post in the morning at more suitable hours to everyone like between 6am and 7am when i get up as i would like to contribute to the comps ending thread0

I completely agree with whats been said, if I miss a competition I miss a competition, noones fault but mine. If I dont have time to enter comps I dont and I only enter ones for things that I want or would make use of
The site just doesnt seem as friendly as what it used to be and thats one of the reasons I am spending less and less time on here
PS, another competition site is prizefinder but dont think it has a forumWeight Loss - 102lb0 -
I DO wish someone would explain why there are such strict rules about posting a comps ending list.
This is obviously a big deal but why?
Thanks to anyone who feels like explaining
Ps as a newbie I LOVe this site and people have been very freindly to me...0 -
I agree, I was for them at first, but it's got very competitive lately, and caused a lot of fallouts from people taking things far too seriously.
I do find them useful to double check but like everyone else has said - if it's missed, it's missed! If I didn't know about it, I won't be annoyed I missed it (if that makes sense!)
It might also make our wins go up again, if people can't be bothered to go through the competitions themselves.
After all - it is only a small section of fab site, and it's only a bit of fun - not a matter of life or death0 -

I've posted on the todays thread about it :rolleyes:2023 wins - Rice Krispies, Avene Micellar Gel, Barbie Toy, £20 Apple Gift Card, KFC 6 piece bargain bucket, Chloe Nomade perfume, Barbie Toy (second one), Sanctuary Spa Sleep Balm, E45 Moisturising Lotion, Trolls Hamper, 12 Tonie Characters, Sure deodorant, Good Home Utensil holder, £5 Costa Gift Card, Neutrogena Micellar Jelly, Soap & Glory Mascara, Persil capsules,0 -

There are strict rules because a few months ago some people decided to take it upon themselves to do 'unofficial' comps ending lists, which caused a lot of fuss and arguements as some people found them useful, others didn;t like them and they ended up clogging the front page of the boards.
The rules were a compromise, but (and I'm guilty of this!) they have been pushed to the limits lately and again they have caused fallings out on what used to be a very friendly, laid back place to be.
That's my opinion anyhoo!0
