Can I ask one more question? is it best when entering competitions to use your mobile number or landline number?

I use my mobile number (even when it says home number) - that way I'm not going to end up with loads of sales calls at home in the evenings and companies can always get hold of me in the daytime when I've won!
Life is all about the journey.

Thanks for your friendly email it is so nice that you are all so nice to each other on this web site.

I only started doing this a few days ago and am already completley addicted.

Can I ask one more question? is it best when entering competitions to use your mobile number or landline number?

    xxxxx

    :hello:

I personally use my landline number as its easier to report spam calls to the TPS (Telephone Preference Service) if the situation did arise.

There has been stories on here about peoples mobile bills being run up with unscrupulous companies sending texts etc which costs the billpayer money

    :)

I'm the same, just always use landline and the only people I have had bother from is mychild

I don't always have my mobile charged (when it decides to work) so would hate to miss a winning call.

Whilst we are on the subject
Have lots of you received winning calls before???
I have never had one yet and I think I would be so excited when it happened that it would completely go whooosh over my head what I had won :rotfl:

I use my landline number too, I always forget to charge my mobile so landline is a safer bet.

The only calls I have had are annoying magazine subscription calls (all offering a special offer of 3 mags for £1 or something like that)... I'm sure they come from the great competitions website but i can't find anything on there to change my contact preferences  I get my hopes up everytime because they always start the conversation by mentioning the comp I entered

Oh and i've never had a WTC - boohoo, most of my wins so far have been through WEM but theres lack of them in my inbox at the moment too - woe is me ;):p
Thanks to everyone that posts :T:money:
  • I've had 1 WTC & it was on my mobile, I was out at the time so would have missed it had it been on my landline.
2023 wins - Rice Krispies, Avene Micellar Gel, Barbie Toy, £20 Apple Gift Card, KFC 6 piece bargain bucket, Chloe Nomade perfume, Barbie Toy (second one), Sanctuary Spa Sleep Balm, E45 Moisturising Lotion, Trolls Hamper, 12 Tonie Characters, Sure deodorant, Good Home Utensil holder, £5 Costa Gift Card, Neutrogena Micellar Jelly, Soap & Glory Mascara, Persil capsules,

I only ever enter these competitions once but wondered if anyone else can be bothered to enter 20 or 30 times, if they can ???
You should never call somebody else a nerd or geek because everybody (even YOU !!!) is an
"anorak" about something whether it's trains, computers, football, shoes or celebs :p :rotfl:

If I can be bothered, and have the time, I enter the ITV comps as many times as possible. Although it doens't always work that way with 'Real Life' getting in the way ;)

I always seem to get bored of entering them loads, but just as I start entering them only once I see someone win one and then it renews my enthusiasm :D:D:D
