Just wondering, those of you that do the monthlys, how do you make sure you don't enter any more than once?

I'm upto date with main board and have done weeklys and dailys so decided to venture into the monthlys for a bit... I sorted them by thread start time and began entering from the last page but then realised some of them are posted on the main board as well... it would take ages to check if every comp is on the main board before entering

I never do the montly competitions, or the weeklies, and the only daily ones I do are the batteryforce, navanti and luminoso ones (and the mpora osiris shoes one but that finishes in next few days anyway)

I tend to find enough in the main board to keep me going

Am actually going to be cutting my time on here down alot due to various reasons, will still be about just not as much:D Will still be entering comps and will still be posting some, as well as popping in here and the compers inn:D

I have all the monthly ones I do bookmarked in a folder, and tbh I've got so I can recognise them if they get posted on the main board. For example I know hjb posts the acegamez ones at the start of every month, but I know I have that bookmarked, so I ignore those and enter them with the rest of my monthly ones. There are others that have quite large prizes which I would miss if I didn't go through the regular comps board and bookmark them myself. I've had quite a few wins from regular comps

But really, I have no idea why some are reposted every month, and others stay on the regular comp board. The only thing I would say is that it tends to be the same ones which are reposted on the main board every month, so although it would be faffy the first time, you could do searches on any which look familiar so you'd know for the future

Thanks Cheeky Chicken, at the mo I have suscribed to all the monthlys I have done so far and have put them in a folder named monthlys but I think your way is a bit easier so going to give it a go, won't have time to do all of them but will work my way through some over the month when I have a bit of spare time.

I also have all the weeklies I do in a folder. It means (in FF) I can right click the folder and 'open all in tabs' then I rename the folder as 'weekly done 3/8' or whatever. If I have a senior moment then and can't remember if I did them, it's easy to check!

I also have a neat little FF add-on which keeps my bookmarks synched between the laptop and desktop, so if I bookmark any to enter later etc I can do them on either pc

You're so organised!! My efforts will probably just end up all muddled, esp monthlys as theres so many of them :eek:

Following your advice, I emailed practically everyone on the express website, telling them that if they didn't contact me by Friday, I'd put a complaint in to the institute of sales promotions.
Lo and behold, I arrived home to a message on my answerphone telling me that my laptop had been sent out today.
I won't count on it till it actually arrives, but it's looking good.

That's fantastic elsien!! :T I'll also keep my fingers crossed until the lappy arrives but the it seemed to me that just mentioning the Inst. Sales Promos was like a magic spell & everything fell into line

Let us know *WHEN* it arrives!

Right! Im going to say this and i hope i dont offend anyone but i would like to get this off my chest.
I think the comps ending list is great n all that but isnt it for the lurkers that dont really give anything in return.. I do try to post a few comps ( belive in the karma ) but not as many as some of you as you do a real super job in posting. It wouldnt be so bad if everyone who comes on here contributes..
But i guess there is alot of takers.. And very few returns..
