OK, as it's just your OH going BR you cannot include your expenses, the only things that you can put are household expenses and your OH's own, But you do not have to include your whole salary, your maintenance from your ex, or child benefit if it's in your name for your children, also do your children have school dinners.
Also who owns the car you or OH, and how does OH get to work?Accept your past without regret, handle your present with confidence and face your future without fear0 -
Hi
Thanks for all the info, OH has a company car with his job including petrol. Yes maintenance and child benefit is in my name only. My parents paid for the car and it's registered in husband's name. No the children have pack lunches.
Thanks peachy and dalip

If your husband doesn't use the car for work he can't really claim that amount for the car expenses on his SoA.Accept your past without regret, handle your present with confidence and face your future without fear0

Oh okay so do I put in my contribution to the household income rather than my full salary. Am I allowed to deduct things like dmp, petrol, car running costs etc?
L0 -
Is that your husbands net earnings after tax, NI and pension payments?
You need to put an amount you contribute to the home, ie for food and bills and towards rent etc, but your earnings are low and you have to be allowed to pay for your own expenses, however the amount you contribute has to be seen as a fair proportion, although as I say you are not earning very much.
The car is in your husbands name, but he is not using it for work so there for the OR may take this and sell it, have you thought about that?
Think you need to do the SOA again, leaving off what has been said by the others, ie your exs maitnenance is not included in this as it is not paid to your OH.
Then lets see what the calculations look like then.
Maybe if you add up all your earnings it may give an indication of what you are able to contribute, but you need to add up all you have to pay out like your DMP.
Would you not be better both going BR? I cannot say, but it was just a thought. Some Days are Diamonds Some Days are Stones,Sometimes the hard times won't leave meBSC 162:beer:Banktupt 22 Oct 2008 at 10am!0 -
Hi Everyone
Back on the rollercoaster!! We had a letter from the MC saying our interest rate had dropped and our monthly payment is less than the rent we're paying! Now with OH back in full time employment we suddenly felt that we'd jumped out too soon. We went for worst case possible hence moving into rented not paying mortgage. Now oh may have enough income to do IVA or DMP and keep paying mortgage. I'm so confused now I wish we could have a guru who could look at us and say this is the best way forward!! I don't want much do I!!
The kids miss our old house and friends so much but am I just clutching at straws? OH is ringing the mc today to ask if there are still any choices. We still haven't signed anything for voluntary repossesion nor will we but equally they haven't gone to court yet for repossession.
My jaw is clenched so tight arghhhhhh!!

Hi wdwdn
Just read all your posts, sorry you had such a difficult time of things.
Do you think that you could still be happy going back to your old home and having to move all over again?
It doesn't hurt to find out what the mortgage company say but then you would have to weigh it all up.
Mortgage + mortgage arrears + debt payments
vs
renting + BR + No debts.
It all depends what you can cope with financially and what will make you and kids happiest now and in future. Also consider if interest rates do go up again in future, will you still be able to pay the mortgage in future?
All the best for the future. xxxBSC #215/No.1 Jan 09 Club0
