I don't get this 'thanks' envy some users have. On the comps forum I'm one of the smaller thanked peeps. From MSE Martin - Some General Tips On Holiday Home Organisations and Sales Meetings

perhaps it's polite to thank people, but it certainly is rude to have a go if someone doesn't!! maybe they mi- clicked, or thought they had done it already, or maybe the post wasn't helpful at all!!! the post linked to here is just bizarre - but also quite funny!:happyhear0

Thanking someone for advice is of course the polite thing to do. However, lack of thanking does not imply bad manners, as it could merely mean that the advice-seeker has not seen the relevant post (as Tom has explained) OR, being human, one has forgotten to click on the button.
Getting angry and putting someone on ignore on the basis of ONE post not being thanked, says nothing about Tom but a lot about the complainer, imho.Be careful who you open up to. Today it's ears, tomorrow it's mouth.0 -

Hmmm well I agree with Quasar.
I don't write posts to be thanked, it is just nice if I am.
She shouldn't have even pointed it out really, it is petty. And off topic!:cool:0
