    Especially for Victor Delta:

AI Roboform, an older version, is available here:

I use this and find it very useful.

There are other good programmes of an older variety too, such as jv16Powertools - a registry cleaner which needs using with care. This version has not got the time bomb that a later version has. The site is worth exploring.

For older versions of freeware this site is useful too:

  • Can anyone please recommend a good freeware Password manager and form filler?

I used to use Roboform until it limited free version users to 10 sites. Don't suppose anyone knows how to obtain a copy of the last version before they made this change?

There are several others around including Password Keychain but I would welcome a strong recommendation.

    Any suggestions please?

You could try Access Manager 2

Victor Delta the version of Roboform on the following link is not crippled, you can save as many details as you like:

Many thanks. I saw your original post last week (I did send you a thanks message at the time) and am now happily using the last decent freeware version. Only problem was that my current passcards were not compatible with the older version of RF. However, since they were limited to 10, it was not a very great problem to replace them. Also, for some unknown reason, although the RF toolbar works fine with IE, Avant (my favourite browser) doesn't seem to like it anymore (even though it did at the time when version 468 was current). Anyway, not a problem.

    Thanks again.

I have the same problem with Avant, but I find if I right click a box for form filling, the context menu shows Fill Forms and Save Forms from Roboform. Not so convenient as the toolbar button, but does work.
  • Agreed - that's how I'm getting round it too. In fact, having used it for a few days, I'm not so sure it's not a better method anyway!

I like Password Agent Lite and have been using it for over a year now for storing all my passwords, online banking details, credit card details, etc. safely and in one convenient place. It will work directly from a removable disk or USB flash disk so you don't need to install it on other computers. The Lite version is completely free and allows you to store up to 25 entries per file but if you need to store more entries you can upgrade to the unlimited version. You can find out more and download it from here http://www.moonsoftware.com/pwagent.asp

If you own a Sony Ericsson mobile phone (especially the T610), then you should have a look at: Float's Mobile Agent.
    http://fma.sourceforge.net/index2.htm

Its software that allows you to manage your phone from PC. You need a connection (either usb cable, infra red port, or bluetooth dongle) to connect the phone to your PC.

This software then allows you to:
    backup your phone book
edit and manage your phone book
    back up your diary
    edit and manage your diary.
compose SMS's on your computer & send via your phone
    (and lots, and lots more).

Even comes with a little utility to allow you to use your T610 as a remote control for your PC (if you have a bluetooth dongle).

Lots of fun, and highly recommended free software.

This is an interesting concept as I presume you could use the online browser version on a mobile phone or pocket pc etc ,
