hopefully your next question will give you some better answers instead of monkeys giving bone answers just remember its up and onwards please post if you manage to sort an account out once again good luck!you cant change yesterdaybut you can make tomorrow better0 -
Hi
My husband had a poor credit history, worse than the OP's! He got a Co-Op cashminder initially, then the branch locally closed so he moved to Natwest and had a step account, which for him was great, Solo card, good online banking and local facilities.
I believe HSBC is good also, though heard poor things about Abbey, like not being able to use the counter service to withdraw money.
Good luck, oh you could try money supermarket, they have a search basic bank accounts facility.£2 Coin Savers Club (Christmas)- £86£1 Jar (Christmas)- £29Christmas Vouchers Saved: £1450 -
Hi, this isn't the case, They do a current account check with Equifax and Experian, have seen it on credit reports.Undersized_Rascal wrote: »Just go open a natwest step A/C......THERE IS NO CREDIT CHECK
If you apply for a First Reserve account which comes with a Solo card, they only do a 'Generic check and an enquiry check.
Also, they also did an associate check as well! That was with Equifax:eek:
If you apply on-line, they seem to do one check first with Equifax and then they send paperwork out to sign. After you have signed this, they do another check with Experian.0 -
I managed to open an account online with www.simpleaccount.co.uk
I have a ccj and other defaults but there was no credit check, and I even have a Mastercard which acts as a pre-pay credit card, but without the transaction fees.0 -
The site is not secure, it does not have a certificate, until this site can be verified then I would not post your personal data on their, just in case.Since when has the world of computer software design been about what people want? This is a simple question of evolution. The day is quickly coming when every knee will bow down to a silicon fist, and you will all beg your binary gods for mercy.0

Its doesnt sound like a basic band account if you were sent a visa card - they would do a cash card account (cash machines only) which by law you can have.0

Just had a quick look at that site.. They want £49.95 setup fee and a monthly account fee of £12.50. To me it looks like they are just reselling the Think Banking account, Which you can get from them direct for half the setup fee these guys charge. More info at http://www.thinkbanking.co.uk
