Where will you ski next season?

it's never too early to talk about skiing!
We've had our Xmas trip booked for a while now - a week in La Plagne, then we'll do a week in Colorado somewhere in Feb/March whilst avoiding UK half term & US spring break. We're currently debating Copper, Breckenridge or any other options which may present themselves!0 -
We've just been to Norway - did a bit of 'out of season' hiking and wandering around a few of the resorts there with a view to booking one of them for my next ski trip, but I'm not sure it's going to be the best value for money.
Considering USA or Canada now, on the presumption that although it's further it'll be cheaper when we get there?0 -
I'd like to try USA or West Canada but I only have a week and don't want to use up two days travelling..
Planning on Austria again this year. I usually wait until about 6 weeks before and book through fasttrackski or igluski. Looking forward to it already!0 -
Having been to Meribel & Courcheval earlier this year I hae to say (with the credit crunch) i dont think ill be going anywhere in Europe anytime soon.
The snowboarding was amazing, but even with a good exchange rate prices were extortionate!
I fully understand they arent cheap places anyway, but the guys and I felt this year that it was the only place we could go where we were guarenteed good sun & snow, and amazing it was!
We are considering Canada/N.America this year! Anyone else been there and have any good recommendations.
As i understand its more expensive to get there, but cheaper once your there, and the snow is out of this world.
Cheers

Would anyone like to have a go at recommending me a resort? Here's my ideal wish list (I am prepared to be flexible):
- 1 adult & 1 young boy (10), self catering
- compact, uncrowded (as much as poss!) family friendly resort
- ski in/ski out & peaceful accom
- children's ski park with 'lumps, jumps & bumps' etc
- decent sized supermarket within walking distance
- no bussing other than airport transfers of 2-3 hours max
- lots of greens, blues & easier reds (son's level)
- fair lift queuing system with minimal waiting times
Cheaper prices would be a big bonus, but a suitable holiday is more important
Europe, Canada or USA

We ski in Colorado USA every year the skiing is fantastic inital holiday 6 years ago was quite cheap but its getting more and more expensive. You can often get great deals on the lift tickets either by getting a season pass early in the year or by buying a multi resort ticket, check out the websites of the resorts that your interested in it can save a fortune. Were not going this january as were cutting back a bit to get ourselves debt free for 2010 so im very jealous of all you budding ski-ers we will just have to settle for a few ski days in scotland and hope for a good dump of snow. i would be interested in hearing your views on the 3 valleys in france as ive never ski-ed europe.Official DFW nerd 206 Proud to be dealing with my debt

Bah... I've counted the cost of my summer holiday and due to other reasons as well I think I'm going to have to wimp out of a winter trip this year *sniff*
So please disregard earlier post about recommendations *sob*
Please keep this thread going though so I can enjoy everyone else's planning!!!

Hi, anyone here stayed / skiied in Colorado??
We originally paid a small deposit on a condo in Breckenridge, which will cost $3300 for the week!! Now realised that we don't want to pay that kind of money, so are looking for another resort (having realised that Breck seems more expensive than some other resorts).
Any other recommendations??

Just bumping this as I can't wait to go again and I have to wait till Easter (unless I win one of the comps I've entered).
Where's everyone off to? Or shout if you'd like some advice as there are a few of us who've been around the pistes for a year or two!somewhere between Heaven and Woolworth's0
